The Official #1 Tennessee vs Florida SEC Tourney Championship Game Thread (Sunday May 29 3PM EST ESPN2)

Guys I posted this morning about me waking up and telling the wife we were headed south on a hunting trip. We went to the game today and it was great. It was LNS south. The announced attendance was 13970. As God is my witness 13900 were wearing Orange. We truly are the best fan base in all of college athletics. It is not even really debatable. I am very to be part of it.GBODFFA851A-E5ED-4E49-AD0B-CFE43D521EED.jpeg

We could see on tv it was all orange, very few Gators.

What a great victory today!! SEC champs in each way possible - tournament and regular season. I'm gonna savor this one for a coupla days before even thinking about the regionals. We are 29-5 in the SEC this season!! let that sink in. Almost 30 SEC victories. What a year we are having. And to see that sea of Orange in Hoover today. Made me smile all day long!!! Congratulations to the 2022 BaseVols!!!

I have a gripe I'd like to share here. In that other thread about the 2022 champions there was a poster saying this season would be forgotten if "we choked" in Omaha. I don't know about anyone else, but I just don't see it that way. There are just too many variables to take into consideration. Why, if we lose, did we choke? Perhaps the other team just outplayed us. It happens. Pitching has been consistent this year, but you all.know hitting can be the proverbial box of chocolates. And the further we go, the better the competition is going to be. Do I want us to win? Heck yes. Will I be disappointed if we dont ? Certainly. Will it make me forget the accomplishments of this team in this special season? No way. Winning it all is hard. So, just wanted to put that out there. Go Vols, all the way, but win or lose, its been a hell of a ride this season.

Couldn't agree more. Desire for a natty is appropriate, especially with a team like this. But expecting one is not. And in a year in which we win championships in a sport for the first time in a few decades, it's just silly to call it a failure if we don't win a natty.
