The way things are looking, Tennessee COULD repeat the baseball tournament just like in basketball. Play Kentucky in the semis only to play A&M for the title...the odds of that....

It would be nice to beat Texas A&M for SEC Championships in two major sports after losing to them in football.

Go Big Orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was absolutely incredible. In the 5th inning when LSU scored 2, and threatened to tie or take the lead, their fan base rose in unison, chanting “LSU” “LSU” “Geax Tigers”. “Geaux Tigers.” It cut through the late night air. They were LOUD. It felt intense and intimidating - like a fanbase with proud history. You not only heard them. You FELT them. Everyone around me (Vols) was just like. “WOW.” …..and then something amazing happened ( the kind of event that makes the hair on your arms tingle) In the midst of the deafening roar of LSU fans, an army of Orange clad fans rose from their seats and countered with “Let’s go Vols” and “clap clap clap” for strike 2. For 60 seconds both fanbases (in unison) filled the night air until Dolly whizzes a ball by at 98 for strike. 3, and just like that, TN’s fan base served noticed that we too, have arrived.
Man, what an experience! I’m jealous but proud that you guys are getting to be a part of this.
You could feel the intensity through the TV!
All of you in Hoover have represented this fan base very well!

Willis,
I understand that the SEC uses this tourney format because it is similar to Omaha.

My question, why does Omaha use this format? Instead of having two pods, why not have a true double elimination?

Short story to accommodate TV broadcast. Believe I am ok with the current format.
