The Official #1 Tennessee vs Notre Dame Super Regional Games Thread (Fri 6/10 6PM EST ESPN 2) ( Sat. 6/11 2PM EST ESPN ) (Sun. 6/12 1PM EST ESPN)

I wonder if he plays CF or RF? Asking for Crazy Person....
Box scores from their regional show him playing LF. And he’s the kid that is lead off, bats .323 and 20-21 on stolen bases. Pretty much Vanderbilt’s Bradfield lite version. So I’m sure he probably does like his chances. But what I’ve learned in team sports is that if you talk, you are talking for the entire team and better be sure as heck they can back you up or it’s not going to be pretty.

Our fans won’t feed them bbq after the game and we do wanna win 40-0 but the rest is false.

That's just silly and mean. Vols fans are some of the most hospitable folks around. Except when ya step on our toes. Then, the team will beat you and our fans will back them up. GBO! I can't wait.

I’m glad they think we won’t be as inviting. What do they want us to do, cheer for Notre Dame? Oh yeah, nice catch Ryan Cole. Hope you hit a home run next AB. Not happening! Jeez I thought this was going to be like the GT game with no animosity but they’re starting it so we’re going to finish it.

All is fair in love and war. This is war. GBO!

I'm not worried about our offense translating to Omaha. I feel like that is just a myth. We hit the ball well in Hoover, very well, and that park is similar to Omaha in many ways.

I don't know if it's a myth. Maybe, maybe not. I'd have to see some statistical analyses to decide. But here's some anecdotal data: We didn't get going offensively in Omaha last year. 4 runs in two games.

You could be right, could be wrong. Pitching is elite in Omaha, so let’s not forget that.

Small sample size. It’s 2 games. We also have hit 50-60 more home runs this year than last year so this team is definitely more “powerful” than last year’s. I’m not saying the size of the park will have no effect, but I think it’s been shown with how we performed in Hoover and Starkville (two big parks) that our offense can do it all, not just hit home runs.

Exactly. We just scored 9 runs in our very own park without hitting a single home run.
