I honestly thought we were pitched quite well in all 3 regional games until the late innings. It actually surprised me that Campbell and GT had some really good starting pitcher performances. I have to think that although ND has a good staff, they will be hard-pressed to duplicate the starters of Campbell and GT against us. I hate getting to these late-inning games with the outcome in doubt. You might be right, though. Could be low-scoring.

Agreed that our pitching was great this weekend against some strong offenses. Plus, there were some unearned runs resulting from defense that we need to tighten up

ND is solid. Not great, but solid. Two strong starters. Battle tested. They can play high calibur, or lay an egg. We will have to earn it. Looking foward to it.
No easy games from here on out. Everyone we lineup against can play. I'm a little concerned about starting pitching all of a sudden......maybe its just me.

I'm so freaking tired from all those games these last three days...lol......so glad I'm not heading back over there today.

Just noticed UT was the only SEC team to clinch a super-regional birth yesterday. UGA is out and the rest play today.

Looking at the scores from yesterday I am beginning to wonder where the good pitching is hiding. OSU scored 45 runs yesterday and a lot of teams scored in the 20's.

In Notre Dame’s 13 games against ranked opponents, they averaged scoring just over 5 runs per game.

They have a pretty good pitching staff and they hit for average. Do not hit for power whatsoever. They only have 68 home runs on the season as a team. I would expect some lower scoring games this series compared to this regional.

Notre Dame pitchers have a 2:5 to 1 strike-out to walk ratio. Vols have 4:1 ratio.

We weren't the only ones. Texas A&M clinched a Super too - they just don't know who their opponent will be. They will find out today.

Is their bullpen as good as their starters? VOLS tend to pick on the weak.

It appears they’re pretty decent, but not to the level of their starters as far as BA and ERA go, at least for the most part.

Watching the different regionals it was interesting to see the fan turn outs around the country. Nothing compared to the magical and electric atmosphere we saw in Knoxville. LNS became Neyland. It was great seeing our fans and players never give up. I can’t imagine how crazy this weekend will be against Notre Dame, it’s going to be special.

The fact that there could be potentially 6 SEC teams in the CWS is nuts. The only reason there wouldn’t be 8 potentially is because they gave Stanford and Maryland a pass and didn’t put an SEC team in their region. I think the record for most teams from one conference is 4. That occurrence has happened 5 times and the SEC was involved 4 of those times, most recently in 2019. If LSU-Ole Miss and Auburn-Vanderbilt are the Supers matchups then there will definitely be 2 SEC teams. Nothing like SEC baseball.

I still have bad memories from years ago when we lost to ND in the NCAA basketball tournament, especially that little green leprechaun guy. If he’s in Knoxville this weekend, I just might put a hex on him.
