Sorry but I'm just not going to compare one of these kids to an all-time great. “The Kid” was an All-Star at the age of 20 and was going to be the HR King had injuries not derailed his career. Burke does have a very bright future and I know y’all are just wanting to compare swings and trying to compliment Burke, but I’m never going to put that type of pressure on one of these kids. Y’all can do it if you want, but it’s just too far for me.
By the way is your wife a redhead???? Enquiring minds are curious. But please do not give her my screen name.LOL. Yours is the opposite of mine.
Here's one more tidbit. My next door neighbor is a state police. After Drew Gilbert hit the walkoff slam against Wright State, my wife's celebration brought him over to the house for a wellness check. LOL.
Have the guys the Orioles received in exchange for Machado ever amounted to anything? I don’t even know who all they got from the Dodgers.

Just quickly watching the two HR's yesterday, on the first one, he drops his hands in more of a Chris Davis type cock motion. The second one was more just straight pure Ken Griffey Jr style.Just comparing his swing type, not the results. If you doubt that Burke's swing looks like Griffey's, take a look at what is posted on-line with the side by side comparisons. Again: It LOOKS LIKE Griffey's swing, not saying he will have the same success.

However, your point is quite valid. Someone spent a lot of time with him developing that smooth of swing. Tremendous hip action and weight transfer.
Burke is very young, so we've see how he develops. Once there is more film out there against good pitching, the film guys usually find some holes in the swing. And, he doesn't appear to be ready for left handed pitching yet. Takes time.
I'm curious as to whether he can play left field in a pinch? The roster lists him as 1B/OF.
