The Official #10 Tennessee @ Kentucky Game Thread, 1:00 PM ET, CBS

Kentucky has our team figured out more than any team in the league. I hate to say it but Calipari has coached circles around Barnes this season.

It’s not just that. I don’t post much here anymore, but this is the worst Barnes team we have had in years. We are limited because we don’t have a true PG with size. I love Z, but these long teams kill us. Arkansas will be the same way. Those are terrible matchups for us, and facts are, Barnes has done a horrible job recruiting scorers. Having a great defense is nice, having a great offense wins championships in todays world.

How is it not fair to expect a win? I don’t think anyone here expects it to be easy at all, but we’re favored and this is NOT a good Kentucky team. They are one of the last four teams in the tournament right now. We’re supposed to be a Top 10 team.

We at the very least shouldn’t be getting our rear ends handed to us like we are. We should be better than what we’ve shown.

To get beaten twice by this team this year, it's bad. I don't care what the stats show, Q1, Q2 blah blah blah. This is one of the worst UK teams in years and we chalked up the first game to "s*** happens" Well today we are simply sucking and that makes me even more angry.

Unfortunately that seems to be Barnes’ system on offense, if they aren’t playing great defense then they look like they have never seen a goal before

Yeah at this point it is a system issue. It reminds me of Cuonzo Martin who had similar issues with offensive schemes but Rick Barnes is a lot better coach than Martin. Rick Barnes is a great coach and has elevated our program (may not like Pearl did but we are doing well with him). However, his teams have glaring weaknesses that show up.

IMO, this team was overrated from day 1 and frankly has overachieved at times this season to give them a higher ranking than they really have. We are really more in line with a 18-25 ranking than a top 10 team. We don't have a solid Center although Aidoo is coming along. Look at our roster, no true center. We also don't have a "go to" shoot. Vescovi and Zeigler are the two most likely "go to" shooters but they don't consistently hit shots enough to be on the level of let's say a Chris Lofton or Jajuan Smith where you can truly depend on them game-by-game.

Look at that stat that was posted last game. Top 15 teams are 56% on the road. Our offense shows up every 3 games at best? And I think you’ve stated Cal has our number this year. Combine all that with Rupp being a very difficult environment when they’re not honoring teams on a weekend and yes, it’s a loss waiting to happen. Regroup with home games and at neutral sites. Kentucky isn’t good but they’ve played us like Kentucky this year.

Does anyone actually believe we have the shooters to close the gap and make it a game?

Im crippled with indecision on whether to continue watching or not. It’s like watching my own car crash.

Need to trail less than 10 at the half, the half court offense remains middle school type configurations and arrangements, the inconsistency from game to game is painful to watch

Down 10 on second chance points

Vescovi had a 3 go in and out, Aidoo missed a dunk

The opportunity will be there to come back but we are going to have to play lights out
