Very embarrassing half. The end with ZZ missing FT Tobe put back then foul and big who hasn't played makes both for 20 point lead. One of those games. Sure hope we get our Long athletic wings back for A&M or it will be a repeat. Road games without 2 starters is tough. Please people don't compare KY 2 players out to our 2 they actually are better defensive team without them. In CHRIST Alone

We have had too many threes go in and out and not closing out the boards. Things we do well. We are 1-13 3pt shots in first half.

Worst first half of the year? 19-39 Kentucky. We are playing so bad on offense and defense. Refs are not helping but, they are not far from fair. Playing at Rupp and this bad....ugly basketball. We may the first out of the Tourneys this year. If we win one game, odds are we lose the next game.. Field Goals - UT 7-26 KY 12-28... 3s 1/13 to KY 3/7...free throw 4/8 and KY 12/13. Rebounds 17 vs KY 24. Personal Fouls 9 each...Vescovi ZIP and ZZ 5 points total between the two is 5 points. Uros 0. Aidoo, Mashack, On, and Key - 14 points. Pitiful.

When you are 5'9" or slow twitch, long athletic guards are going to give you trouble. Unfortunately, neither Vescovi or ZZ do well against long athletic guards when they have to carry the scoring load as well. If we don't have balanced scoring then our whole offensive plan goes to crap. We do not have a scorer who can take the ball and go get points at will.

Barnes needs to hire an assistant coach that knows how to coach offense. Vescovi and key are on the spot shooters and they never get to take open shots that way. We’ve got 2 bigs with good % who should be force fed the ball when our shot takers are cold to slow the game down and create foul trouble for the opposition. ZZ needs to use his speed more to drive to the basket and create open shots.

And I don’t know why we’re not pressuring the ball handlers of uk. When our defense doesn’t show up, like today not putting pressure on the point and allowing a team to work its offense into layups and open 3s, this team is not even an NIT worthy squad.

Uros has been irritating me this year. Has a bad attitude, not a team player, doesn't even try to hit his free throws and commits stupid fouls.

In any given game, yes I'd absolutely bet on us having success on a neutral floor, but winning 4 in a row is where I lose hope in this team. The inconsistency will be deadly in March.

Zero offensive identity. We don’t know we are and no alternatives if perimeter shots aren’t falling. Too easy to guard.

I say we lose by 43. It’s a good number. A lot of famous professional, athletes, and sportsman. I’ve been number 43. Why not. It’s really the only way I could share the light of positivity on this.

Seriously though. My wife is a UK fan (just cheer comp) and she isn’t even watching and I came in and told her “we just can’t beat Kentucky this year. We just beat the #1 team in Alabama and down 20 to a team not in the tournament” she says “that makes no sense”.

I guess sometimes it just doesn’t make sense

First time in over thirty years that I have turned it off and gone to the farm! We are the only decent team in the SEC thar can't play with Kentucky.

I guess it just depends on your expectations. I loved beating Alabama but had no illusions that that meant we were suddenly a final four contender. I’ve not had those expectations for this team anyway. I’m not comfortable about this team entering the tourney but I never was. I’m rooting for a sweet sixteen, and feel better about next year

I just think it’s unfair to try and say fans should be okay with losing by 20 at half to a bad Kentucky team, which feels like what half this board is doing. That’s a loser mentality. Anyone that is upset with this pretty putrid performance is immediately labeled a nega-Vol or told their expectations are unreasonable.

I’m under no illusion that today was going to be easy. The line was -2 for a reason. This was going to be a dogfight. I even thought we might lose! It should be an evenly matched fight. But, this team has completely no-shown on both offense and defense.

We need to get healthy obviously, but it’s just not acceptable to be getting clobbered like this and anyone trying to explain it away as not a big deal is just gaslighting people.
