Agree, just being off very slightly on shooting is a big multiplier effect. We shoot just a tad bit better and we win. We shoot up there with some of our best games we blow it out. It’s just crazy how bad shooting was this game. I think I could shoot FT with one eye shut and do better .

This is probably a bit of an overreaction seeing as we beat Alabama just a few days ago. Tough to win at Rupp. Still not a good performance. Lot of self inflicted mistakes. Have to be better going forward or the losses will keep rolling in.

This team does not have the offense to go far in any tournament. You have to have some kind of offense and we do not have it. Like I said when they lost to Fla this team is done. If I am wrong then I will be glad to eat crow. They are 2-4 since the Fla game. They can have the best D they want but if they dont have a decent offense then that D is useless.

I think it's safe to say that missing 8 at the line out of twelve ,and the bunnies near the basket were the biggest reasons for the loss. Also, Calipari just has Kentucky ready to play Tennessee,as if it's marked on the calendar,and they're up for it. The biggest takeaway on the positive side for Tennessee is that Vescovi played his heart out in the second half doing all he could. They're definitely missing JJJ and Phillips ,and hopefully they're back sooner than later.

I wish I didn’t care as much. Today is my 28th anniversary, so I will get over it when my wife and I go to dinner.

But I love the university and of course the three primary sports. I even watched TN and Monica Abbott play softball yrs ago, .

Some said this team was a final four contender so I had hope. But I’d bet against it as they lack consistent shooters and horrible foul shooting team. Phillips and JJJ aren’t the difference as we play like trash w those two, too.

They are doing typical late season free fall. We were damn lucky to have beaten Auburn or we’d be talking about a total collapse.

We had a horrendous first half! Our only bright spot was Mashack! Vescovi took it to the rack in the 2nd half & I was surprised, but good job! Ziggler has to watch those fouls! We cannot flow without him. We just need to leave those 3"s alone! Our FT shooting is embarrassing. We hit our FT"s we have a chance 2 win!

This team kind of goes as Zeiglar goes. He didn’t have a great game today, couldn’t stay out of foul trouble, and so we lost.

He’s been in foul trouble the last three to four games. Barnes said he has told this team since December that they found too much, and to stop fouling on the perimeter. But they don’t listen, just like the candy game, and continue to foul.

ANYBODY who realistically thought the Vols were going into Rupp and win this game might ought to back away for a while. Be disappointed? Sure. Be annoyed at the free throws? OK. Be perplexed at the first half? Yeah. But to act surprised or angry Vols didn’t win this one? Priceless! EVERYTHING pointed to an excruciatingly difficult task for the Vols. Hopefully we can fight through the A&M game. Heads up…Texas A&M is good… especially at home.

It is what it is… At least we’re better than we were before Barnes got here and we make the ncaa tourney more often than not.

Although we consistently exit the tourney early, I’d rather be there with a chance to make a run than not be there at all. It’s always been the downside of Barnes (his teams are inconsistent) which is why his teams rarely make any noise in the tourney (beyond the 2nd round). If we’re lucky, maybe we can put together a stretch like we had early in the season where we beat 3 quality teams in Butler, USC in overtime and then Kansas. A run like that would take us to the Elite 8.

Looks like we’ll be a 3 or more likely a 4 seed come March.

We have a winner - post of the day! Stop fouling, Go to the rim, and foul shots. We missed something like 8 of 9 front end of one and ones. And then missed both when shooting foul or double bonus. We went from 2nd to 5th in foul shooting in SEC over past four games. Four games!

We shot 27 3’s they shot 8. That’s 19 attempts where the odds of drawing a foul are minuscule.

Uros is clumsy and not athletic, the other 3 can't find the rim when they're right by it.. That's roster and it is what it is at this point..

Facts are facts. Barnes has outcoached Cal in the past. Cal has got him this year. Why you can talk smack when Barnes wins but can’t accept facts when they lose is illogical.

If he’s got a significant disparity in winning vs a hall of fame coach with multiple championships at a blue blood rival, yes it’s ok to brag on that. I’ve watched UT basketball long enough to remember when our lows were getting blow out by UK by 40+ at home. Now it’s expected we win at Rupp and we’re all ticked when we don’t. That’s never happened in UT basketball history and I’m not pretending it’s not significant and I’m not saying it’s reversing until it happens more than one season.

All this started when Barnes changed the lineup at the Texas game and has stuck with it. This is on Barnes. ZZ is a lot better coming off the bench. I know Key was not playing good but he still isnt playing good. He should go back to the line up he had been with all year before the Texas game. It seemed to work better.

It doesn’t seem like it should be that difficult to shoot 70% from the FT line, but this team makes it look terribly difficult

Especially UP & Mash even ZZ missed today & we missed front end of 1+1, 4 times just should be able to hit as a college player
