The Official #11/#9 Tennessee @ Florida Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

The bad thing is, Ala and Ga both look very beatable. But we don't play disciplined enough to beat either one. We did hit on a few long passes, why did we go away from it after the first drive till late in the 3rd. Don't understand it.
I told my buddy today that’s it’s classic TN: the rest of the SEC looks terrible, but of course this is after we no longer have our super star in Hooker.

No. Run the damn ball. Should have ran it after missed FG.
We should have definitely ran the ball more to start the game. Also, Milton does not understand football at a high level, that is why he consistently goes to the check down pass, and the screens.

Indignant at this point. Have been here so many times.
I can't believe how unpissed I am. I think subconsciously , I'm just immune to real disappointment anymore. I went out back , had a smoke and a beer and laughed at stuff with the kids that I'd normally have been annoyed with during a game like this. As a fan ,I'm broken, in a good way. Life's too short to stress over a game other people are playing .

Team doesn't come alive until the finally 0:09 seconds with a late hit on a QB taking a knee. I don't give a got-dang if he is a Gator, you don't hit kneeling players. That's low class and peak thug behavior. Man up and go with class.

are you going to dispute what I said about how many quarters we won or lost?

How many different team sports have you played? How many play books have you studied, not just looked at, but studied? Do you have any notion, what so ever, of the total information a coach has on his team that fans don't have access to?

Instead, you're just mad about 15 minutes of poor play. Look at each half and then look at each quarter. In fact rewatch the full game objectively on youtube once it's uploaded on youtube.

How the vols played in the second quarter is the difference. Because of that you don't throw out the qb, coach and playbook you've been working on since last spring. Think long term what would happen to the Vols ability to recruit a top qb if you got rid of milton or the coach or the playbook because of one bad quarter. It takes years to put together an exceptional college football program, (not team, program) and soooo many people here want to just blow that up. Those people are worse than any opponent the Vols would ever face - that's why .... it won't happen. If it did, the vols won't have a good football team for well over a decade because no one with any real world experience in football would never play in Tennessee.

Again, I'm not even a sunshiny type of fan, it's just how football actually works.
Do you really believe joe had had only one bad quarter. Seriously????

What has not dawned on most of us Vol faithful is that this game has the potential of being a "canary in the coalmine" moment in our program. This is such a shock to what has appeared to be an amazing climb out of the ashes that most of us are truly concerned about the projection of the program. If Heup does not step up and take the share of the blame then we will not make more progress and his time will wind down here sooner rather than later. If he does stand up and say what must be said - that this is on him - then we have a chance to overcome this one horrible game.

Which is why Heupel needs to sit down with his staff and make a tough decision. Ride it out with Milton, or see what Nico’s got.
Or run an offense with Milton that might actually work in the SEC.

That's my issue. The play calling we've seen in the first two games was most of the play calling we saw tonight. I expected to see Heupel's tempo which we only saw sporadically. I expected to see the quick read offense (that goes with the tempo) and it's not there.

Okay, so Heupel isn't going to run that this year. What he is running is...... politely...... substandard. It was against UVA and APSU and it will certainly be ineffective in SEC play.

I can believe, though I don't know, that he doesn't have faith in Milton running the offense he prefers, but he's got to have a better option for an offense than what we've seen.
