The Official #11 Tennessee @ #25 Texas A&M Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

I haven't watched a game that he hasn't made himself way too important.
Adams modeled himself after Doog Shows. He has to be center of attention. APat Adams, Terry oglesby in 4 of six losses. shows in the other two. But wrong players still shooting our issue. No drawing fouls and no real does for those driving our lane and frailing arms and legs to get contact

Not saying it's officiating but when the other team has twice as many points from the free throw line than our team has attempts.... Maybe they could have swallowed the whistle a few times on the ticky tack fouls, but you've got the announcers harping on how much they go to the foul line. That's on Barnes, in my book. He's got to get it across that just because a team has a reputation of going to the line doesn't mean blow the whistle every time they shoot.

What I'm still trying to comprehend is how this specific roster, despite the game being in TBA, managed to beat Alabama. Plavsic had a good night and obviously added way more than he did in College Station, and Aidoo was a big contributor whereas his foul trouble hurt him tonight, but it's still somewhat mystifying because this roster is going to struggle against a 4 or 5 seed in the Round of 32.

Too many minutes to players who are dead weight. It’s disappointing to watch because we’ve seen them play to potential.

Vescovi wouldn’t start for most D1 schools and his stats barely crack the top 250 players in D1 basketball but he is the second best shooter in UT history? Comical lol he is an average shooter on a terrible shooting team. Tennessee is 282nd in shooting percentage.
Wouldn’t start for most D1 schools??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

He has to continue to carry the load because there aren’t any other scorers. If he didn’t have to be the only threat every damn night he would benefit. Every team just says don’t let him get to 25 because these other guys can’t beat us

Dead on the money. With JJJ and JP out, we are pretty easy to shut down offensively: just lock down SV, let him get his 15 or so, because ZZ and definitely Key aren't gonna beat you.

Lost a close one by 5 on the road to a Top 25 team that is on a streak.
Down 2 starters from the jump and a 3rd was supposedly getting IV treatment earlier today and still managed a double double.
Jackass officials had to make things about them and absolutely ruin the flow of the game. I sincerely hope that somebody has the balls to either send tape to the league office, call the officials out, or both. This crap has gone on long enough.
Seems to me CRB realizes they aren’t playing for a regular season title and he may not give a dang about the tournament, as he is apparently resting James and Phillips until then. I don’t have an issue with it, TBH, as a healthy duo would be a greater help then and an injured duo wouldn’t help between now and then. I just wish ZZ would pull his head from his rectum and play like he’s capable of instead of taking stupid shots and committing stupid fouls.
This is not a loss on the level of Colorado, Florida, and Vanderbilt, IMO. We’ve all seen what happens when a team gets hot in tbe tourney, and the Vols have every chance in the world to do that.
Get home, get healed and please beat SC.

Vescovi is a catch and shoot guy. When he has to put the ball on the floor and drive is when it doesn't go well for him. Zeigler isn't setting his guys up though so he's trying to do too much. The offense is forced and labored. Trying to run offense through ON and Zeigler isn't consistent enough and often times looks really bad..

You could maybe make the case for being top 5, but of the guys on that list, he would be my last pick to build a team around.
I mean, as an overall player to build a team around, he wouldn’t crack the top 25. I’m mostly talking about just pure, jump shooting ability. The fact that he takes as many 3s as he does and has the % he has when he is the focal point of every defense we face (he’s our only offense at this point, as well all are painfully aware) is pretty sensational. As you said tho, I’d take a ton of guys we’ve had here even in the last 15-20 years to build a team around over him.

Honeslty shocking the success we have had so far this season. Most teams dealing with this are fighting to maintain being above .500

Im convinced at the this point that Barnes and staff just don't know how to develop those skills. Outside of Grant Williams, who has this staff developed into a legit post threat? Fulkerson had one good year, but outside of that year he looked just as inconsistent and dysfunctional as this team does. We've had tons of talent in the post, but none of them have developed the way they were expected to in the last 3 or 4 years, including the guys on the roster now. ON, Aidoo, and Uros were all highly thought of and none of them have developed into consistently competent post players.
Didnt the coach that was credited for developing Grant leave the program a couple of years ago??

You aren’t average when you shoot 40% from 3 in a P5 league. Just a bad take. Now, does he need some help around him? Yes, it’s tough for him to carry the load. All-SEC first team.
