The Official #11 Tennessee vs. Montana Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, SEC Network+

This team is shooting well. The worst game so far was Gardner Webb at 51% from the field. If we do that, we will win a bunch of games.

It feels like we are a little better this year at shot selection. Small sample size, but it just feels like we are being smarter overall with our shot selection and taking some good looks when we get them. It felt like at times last year we just ran some clock and took whatever shot it was at the time - Knecht notwithstanding.

I'd be interested to hear your choice of the censored word. That's not like fighting words or anything, I'm genuinely curious as to what you'd choose to call me.

I typed “ **** “ to leave the choice up to you. Nothing was censored. Don’t forget that it was YOU that started with the personal shot taken at me.

I think that’s why there’s such a short leash on so many. A weakest link scenario.
On that note: As someone watching from afar, I wonder what Aidoo got told that convinced him it was time to move on.

Edited to be less wordy.

On that note: As someone watching from afar, I wonder if Aidoo didn’t get told something he didn’t like about his play against Edey. He was expected to lose that battle, but we desperately needed him to look tougher than he did. That’s all anyone can really expect with how the game was called.

Aidoo wasn’t really strong enough as a 5 versus SEC competition and wasn’t really a natural perimeter threat. I like the upgrade with Igor and Felix although Aidoo and Awaka would have been good options with certain matchups. Over a full season Igor and Felix have fewer weaknesses.

Money is a baller for sure, and played a great game for what’s gonna be his biggest crowd.

10 of his points came at the line though, still don’t get why he got such a favorable whistle.

Seeing a lot of positives in the second half. Gainey looks like he’s found his speed and is playing under control, Milicic is coming alive, Felix looks a little raw on the offensive side but defensively he’s got the talent. ZZ playing so much better today, Carr is getting a good look today, etc etc.

Yes it’s against Montana, but after the way we started, the response after the half was phenomenal. I worry a little about that with a team that still hasn’t had time to really gel, but they really did well coming back out. Wish we could have slowed Money Williams down a little more.

As I recall, Aidoo seemed to run out of gas toward end of season.

He didn't play well in any of the NCAA Tourney games.

Poor SEC Tourney outing in Nashville

Perhaps had some nagging injury.

Tough world..next man up

That's an unsatisfying answer.

I could have chose not to engage, but I did. You get that it was weird to interject a slight on a former player in that scenario, right? I am truly not interested in getting into an argument over what was supposed to be just a general comment pertinent to tonight's Montana-Tennessee game and not concerning anyone that's not on the current UT roster. I am always up for a good faith debate/argument, but I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish.
