I'm on the Oklahoma board a lot. They all say the reason JH got let go was his offense had a struggle EVERY game no matter how weak the opponent was. They warned me they are seeing the same thing here at Tennessee.Something has to be figured out in the offseason. Not possible for us to fix this crap this season. Heupel has some decisions to make. May have to rethink his scheme, as hes gotten his own players into the system the offense has gotten worse. Banks is the only reason we’re competitive this year
You can't send a tight end out to pancake a corner to spring your guy at any time. Goal line plays would be automatic...... just let the tight ends pancake everyone and throw to your guy.Even within 5 yards?
Good question, but I will point out that our tempo got compromised by all the flopping earlier in the season. Don't know just how that affected us overall, but could have changed our offensive strategy. SEC commissioner should have laid out his fines earlier. And I'm looking at Arkansas in particular, as well as OK.Defensive coaches have always been able to figure out Heupel’s offense. It works b/c running tempo forces all 11 defensive players to also have it figured out. There is normally a player that gets confused which creates an opening. When Vols aren’t running tempo it gives the DCs time to get everyone on the same page with their assignments.
The question is why isn’t Nico running tempo.
