As the game ends, I just sat there and wondered what Feb would have been like if James wasn't out

I don’t think any TN Vol fan could have asked for a better 2nd half performance. This team played elite defense, rebounded and attacked the rim. Plus they improved their foul shooting throughout the second half.

Concerns- ZZ is the primary concern as it felt like a punch in the gut. I hate that for any athlete. Just horrible. Hopefully it’s not bad, but it didn’t look good.

This team should remain a three seed regardless of Auburn outcome. We have a tenacious defense and I think Santi and JJJ can run the point. Phillips returning is huge and Mashack is developing.

Given the circumstances, I think this is our best performance since the Kansas game. I really have no complaints about the team tonight, and everybody that has played has contributed. Hate that Zakai was hurt, but proud of the team's resilience in the face of that

Great win!! Awful with ZZ going down... Gonna sound negative but the team played its absolute a$$ off tonight after he went down... But Barnes chewing a$$ time after time but can't show praise during the game has to grow thru time during a season... Especially a night like tonight he should be all positive.... The team went deep down because ZZ tonight... It's weird when the coach never acts excited or claps or shows positivity... Guess I like Huepal and Vitello type coaching

I kinda think Arkansas was a good matchup for us though since they only have 1-2 guys who can shoot

They did have some ball pressure, but I worry about heavy ball pressure against us in a loosely called game/a full court press defense

There is definitely some truth to this. That’s a very athletic team, though, and we still kept them out of the lane for most of the night and absolutely wore them out in the paint.

Damn, no hate for Key but maybe Mashack should have been playing all those minutes earlier in the season.

This team is just full of good talent and guys willing to compete for each other. I don’t doubt them against anyone if they play this well on defense. We know JJJ, Phillips, Santi, ON, & even Key can all drop 20+ any given night. But if we’re not playing well on defense it won’t matter.

Defense wins championships, we put out an effort like this or like Bama on that end and I don’t think a team in the country can beat us.

Yeah man. You got me. He’s totally been the point guard running the offense his entire career. Guys like ZZ, Chandler, Springer, and Lamonte were all his backups over the years…..

I never said he has always been the primary PG I just said he’s played “plenty” as the PG. Santi, JJJ, Key, and Edwards will be next man up and do their best. I hate it for ZZ and hope it’s not as bad as it looked but I’ll be saying prayers for him, his family, and his team.

Well Volnation, it was a great win. My heart goes out to ZZ as it sound like it’s a season ending injury.

It wouldn’t surprise me if ZZ’ injury brings the team more motivation to win for ZZ in March.

TN advancing to final four would make great TV if our potential leader is out. GO VOLS! I’m Proud of this team!

Arkansas made 4 more 3s than us and we manhandled them by 18. They were fortunate to keep it that close. We ansolutlry owned them in the paint on both sides of the ball and they had no answer but to throw up some 3s.
