The way this team plays defense this game never seemed in doubt. If they get offense going they will be hard to beat

Can't complain. Colorado is better than half the sec this year. Probably some work to do against the zone, but defensively strong. Freshmen looked good minus the turnovers.

Good win against a veteran team. At times we definitely looked like a team that hasn’t played a game and missed a lot of practice, but this team should be pretty dang good by the end of the year.

Defense was very good. Just need to make those mid range shots when they go zone along with better conditioning.

I thought they looked pretty good considering all the cancellations, and such. Tough first game, and the Vols pull out a nice win.

Same Barnes offense. I'm still with the guy. But passing it around the perimeter and forcing a bad shot just isn't my idea of basketball.

Under Barnes we’ve improved in this area a ton. It was way worse under prior coaches including Pearl. Remember when we used to have no clue how to attack any zone? We’re young at spots and don’t have much time together so I’m not too worried that in game 1 we were a little stagnant at times. Barnes has proven he knows how to get our guys playing the right way.
