The Official #12 Tennessee vs. Colorado Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, SEC Network+

Great win against a very good team. To hold that bunch to 47 points is impressive. The thing that caught my eye was the line up when the game was on the line in the last 2 minutes. Will be interested to see if that remains the case as the season progresses.

Same Barnes offense. I'm still with the guy. But passing it around the perimeter and forcing a bad shot just isn't my idea of basketball.
It's only a bad shot when it doesn't go in. And we had a bunch that were open that missed the mark. Maybe wrong guys shooting from wrong spot.

It wasn’t pretty but we beat a quality opponent to start the season. Colorado would’ve been a tournament team last year and probably will end up being one this year too. I think once we get about 10 games in, we will start to hit our stride.

In todays game when you hold a team under 35% shooting and 50 on board great job on D. Offense after 25mns struggled with Zone but you can see Legs were heavy due to Covid layoff. Once Faulk and Pons are back in playing shape all those shots inside Paint against Zone will fall. In CHRIST Alone.

I love that we have shot makers at all levels on the court. Scovi, Baiiley and Springer from 3. Keon and Springer from mid-range. Fulky, Pons and Anosike from the Elbow in.

JJJ can make shots all over the floor when he is on and is ccx good at distributing. Uros and Olivier for some size/fouls. If we play up to our potential then this should be the most talented team we've ever had.

Keon is gonna be a superstar....already looks like our best player.

Next up Cincy. Hope our rust has left by Sat. Will need better offensive execution to beat them.

Impressed with Keon and Bailey.

We beat a good team by 9 points. I'll take the win!

Can't complain. Colorado is better than half the sec this year. Probably some work to do against the zone, but defensively strong. Freshmen looked good minus the turnovers.
They just have a look of an 8 or 9 seed in the tournament.

I think they played it fine. That zone is weak at the high post. They got it there multiple times, and both Pons and Anosike missed shots. I thought one time they missed Fulky on the high/low. The sign of a good coach is seeing if the players know how to attack. They did, and the execution needs to be better.

More teams may play it after this game, but we now have more shooters who can play opponents right out of it.

Good win. If Colorado doesn’t go to the zone, the Vols likely would have blew them out by 20. Once this team gets in sync, they are going to be really hard to beat.
I think we will be fine against zone with Rick Barnes. Just rusty with limited practices. We beat Washington last year who ran zone all game.

Keon will need to take better care of the ball. Some of his passes...
First college game. He was able to make those in high school. He’ll continue to improve. You can tell both he and Springer are elite talents
