We are a very inconsistent shooting team. If you're great half the games and terrible the other half, your average may be good but your won/loss record is around 50%. That isn't going to cut it. We have shooters on this team. The odds that they will be all be terrible one night is low. I noticed Powell didn't get many minutes. I'm curious to know why when the other shooters struggled so much.

In his defense, Kyle Alexander was missing against Loyola and they made a miracle shot, preventing possibly a Final 4 run because the 1 seed finally lost and it just so happened to be in our region. That’s the most Tennessee thing that would happen. Doesn’t matter, still should have won against an inferior team so that one was inexcusable. The refs bailed out Purdue with that bogus foul on Turner at the end of regulation, preventing an Elite 8. Pre-Barnes: Horrible charge on Stokes against Michigan, preventing an Elite 8. Missed FT and Michigan St goes coast to coast to win the game, preventing a Final 4. Up by 19 at halftime to Ohio St and allow them to come back and win, preventing an Elite 8. We ALWAYS seem to have something stupid happen that prevents us from advancing.

Because we shoot lights out against the teams we beat by 40+. It skews the percentages.

Two losses that looked identical. Why does the whole team go cold at once? What is the love affair with Bailey? Why isn’t BHH getting more playing time? What is in JJJs head that makes him a basket case?

Disagree with this and Villanova being the same. In that game we let our shooting affect our defense. Our defense almost won this game on its own.

For all the crap Bailey gets, he was the sole player that hit shots early 2/3 games ago and I believe he is the guy that made one tonight after a LONG drought.

Bailey is the kind of guy you need when no one makes shots because he isn’t scared to keep taking them.

I do wonder about BHH, but I think he’s limited offensively, and Barnes couldn’t play him the last 15 minutes.

One of the worst offensive performances I've ever seen including girls junior high basketball. Texas Tech does have good defense, but so do a lot of teams we play. It ain't that good. Horrible horrible horrible shooting. Even hitting half our free throws would have changed the game. There's no defense on free throws.
