It’s almost like he’s just not ready. A guard can play much earlier than the paint. The paint anchors the defense and can erase guard mistakes. BHH is not a rim protector. Can anybody Tell me what he’s elite at?Recruit a 5* big and then sit him on the bench for 3/4 of every game. Just genius stuff from Barnes
He's a better scorer and way more athletic than Uros and has much more size than O. If you want to argue JJJ and Fulk playing over him that's fine, but not the other two. It’s almost like he’s just not ready. A guard can play much earlier than the paint. He had 6 and 9 tonight in 20 minutes and was +5. BHH had 8 and 2 in 15 minutes and was -5. Idc what you think about +/- Uros absolutely outplayed BHH tonight. He's a better scorer and way more athletic than Uros and has much more size than O. Thanks Southgate. I feel great and am fine with sharing my opinion and reading others opinions and perspectives without getting all hot and bothered like some on here do. You know what they say, opinions are like a a a$$ holes, everybody has one.The original comment was about the habitual Barne's bashing. Not about your presence in the thread. However, if it makes you feel better, keep on being you.
At least Barnes will be FoRCED to play BHH and Powell next year. So we should be better than what we showed vs. BamaThe most sobering thing to me about this loss is that what we saw tonight is a preview of what we'll see next year, since Chandler's gone and Fulkerson's all outta eligibility. And maybe Vescovi goes pro or heads on to his next opportunity as well. Goodness. I mean, there's certainly a lot of talent on the roster regardless, but goodness anyway.
The problem with BHH is lack of effort at times. He gets so lost on defense and rotations. Doesn't know when to help or when stay on his guy. Barnes preaches effort and accountability. If he plays BHH, who wants to take plays off, how does that look to the rest of the team? I believe he can be a great player but it is more up to him than it is Coach Barnes.Barnes said that BHH didn’t play second half much because of couple bad passes and lackadaisical plays, and Powell was t locked in defensively. I’m not a coach, but dang I just don’t see where Bailey is that much of a plus over Powell defensively. And with BHH, there comes a point if you want to be the best your team can be, you have to a guy try and learn it in game situations. Uros probably isn’t getting much better offensively at this point, Bailey isn’t going to improve much more defensively or suddenly become a consistent scorer. BHH and Powell on the other hands can improve what they lack defensively while immediately bringing much more offensively. Dang frustrating…
Apologies if I offended. You are correct with everybody sharing opinions. I will work to share mine AND be respectful. Thanks Southgate.
