Rick needs to stop being so damn stubborn. This team is offensively challenged quite often, and that can be putting it nicely. We scored 5 points in the final 6 minutes or so of regulation. I value and admire defense as much as anyone, but if you’re not putting the round ball in the hoop it doesn’t matter how good your defense is!!!!

Bailey, regardless of COVID status for Chandler, should NOT play as much against Ole Miss. Powell HAS to play more. We need to score points and Bailey can’t do it!

I think he knows Bailey is who he is, but Powell can still grow into a good defender so he’s trying to teach him a lesson. That’s incredibly dumb, reps are going to help more than some psychological fun, plus we have games to win, but that’s the only way I can think that this answer makes any sense

I could careless if I ever seen JJJ or VB play another minute. Tn played fine without JJJ early on in the season and they can play better without him now and VB , he sucks just as bad as JJJ. BHH should be pissed and so should Powell

You not see how many times Bailey missed shots and had missed assignments.... His miss assignments was bad... He ended up making a few defensive plays but so did Powell too in passing lanes as well which makes no sense...

Bailey was much more equipped to guard Bama's perimeter guys. It sucks that he has forgotten how to shoot. I like Powell and he has a good step back shot but most of the time he only shoots if unguarded and he isn't fast enough to get open consistently. It was a pick your poison situation and Barnes will always pick defense.

UT played their ass off, on the road, against the SEC favorite, without their best 2 players and lost the game after having a one point lead in the last 90 seconds. I can live with that. But what I can't live with, is why we didn't see more than 8 minutes, all in the first half, from BHH ?

We made 3 shots in 1:24 seconds at the beginning of the 2nd half. We made 3 shots the final 11:29 of the game. That's unacceptable regardless of the opposition, game location or personnel on the floor.

Coaches always calling out players live up to the standard but feel like older coaches fall back on what they have done in the past... The players have no past! Barnes has to be better! Dont blame it on lack of Chandler and Fulky... Player effort was as good as you can get... Weird lineups all night and got worse with the lack of BHH and especially Powell... Just not good

Sorry but I just disagree with a lot here. Bailey looked completely ill-equipped to guard anybody, he gave up bucket after bucket. And Powell gets open with regularity and he did last year with Auburn as well. It seems like Barnes is choosing no offense and no defense over good offense and no defense. Hell if he wants defense give Mashack Bailey’s minutes

I’ll cool down after a good night’s sleep, but it’s hard to not be livid with how we closed out that game. Please, Rick, give Powell more minutes. This team needs points desperately if we want to win games.

Blaming referees is never a good look and I don't think they decided the game. But Coach Oats' lengthy discussion early in the second half had an effect on the way the game was being called. After that discussion...Alabama's next possession they called three fouls on us. I thought those quick three fouls change our aggression on the boards.
With about two minutes left Alabama had hit 4 out of 24 (I think) threes. They finished hitting their last three. That decided the game. Alabama is recognized as having the best backcourt in the league. When the game was on the line Alabama's backcourt executed. That decided the game.

We need to get Vescovi at least 8-10 3PT attempts and Powell 5-7 attempts every single game IMO. Shooters need to shoot. JJJ has no business attempting 7 threes and ON has no business attempting 17 shots. Honestly on a night like tonight, being short-handed, I would’ve told Vescovi “I need you to be Steph Curry and get up 15 threes. I don’t care how many go in but I need that many.”

I'm not worried because I'm honestly not expecting that much out of this team. We're an NCAAT team but I'm not expecting to win the SEC or make it far in the NCAAT.

He can create his shot as much as Bailey... And did in a deep 2.... Powell is perfect for our pentrating Pgs .... He plays decent D but he may be a top 10 3pt shooter in the Nation but he isnt givin the opportuniti es especially a shooter.... Shooters need opportunity... Bailey sucks sorry

I think Schofield and Company pulled off a couple of insane wins in similar situations before. These guys were playing like... Well to answer your question I don't know what the heck that was.
