Fantastic team win. The defense is a revelation, and as much a strength of this team as anything else. A defensive front this deep and good and a bunch of LB's and DB's who fly to the ball and tackle like these guys do gives us a chance to win every week. And defense travels.

Solid game for Nico with a lot of things that they can work to improve, like red zone execution, but this kid is really special. Sampson is going to end up as the best back so far in the Heupel era, and we've had some good ones.

Heupel called it very vanilla in the red zone. I do think that’s an area of improvement though, especially in the pass game. Nico still learning. It’s only his 3rd start

This is key. Hendon Hooker, Josh Dobbs, Peyton Manning, Tee Martin, etc. all struggled at times in their early starts but grew up. Nico is in the same boat.

Every team has bad games, unfortunately ours was today. We will get better and learn from this performance. Its a tough pill to swallow only winning by 41 points, but we will improve.
