The Official #16 Tennessee @ #23 Arkansas Gam Thread, 4:00 PM ET, ESPN

Well, we had been playing better overall but the last 2 times we’ve played tournament-quality teams away from TBA we looked like crap and lost. I wouldn’t bet on the Vols making the second weekend in March. We just don’t play smart enough and don’t shoot well enough but I really hope I’m wrong. I was starting to think we had finally turned the corner and that the Texas game was an aberration but it doesn’t appear that it was. Oh well. I’ll lower expectations and hope to be surprised. Go Vols.
It makes a difference when your scorers are in foul trouble early. But credit to Arkansas for making plays and taking advantage.

We were +2 in Kennedy’s 28 minutes, -12 in the other 12 minutes. Refs took him out of the game and took points from us on several BS charge calls

The discrepancy in how they called charges should be investigated. That was one of the most blantant examples of calling things inconsistently.

Lol…not even worth responding to. In game one, there was a clear path…if we won all of our games.

All I'm saying is it sure would be nice to win a big road game for once. Why can we only put up mediocre offense on the road in big time environments. It's old.

Length on the perimeter seems to destroy us. Vescovi isn’t quick enough to get around or shoot over it, and ZZ struggles against it as well.
It’s a game of matchups. Just hoping we get enough favorable matchups to advance in the tourney.

Neutral court --- I think we stand a good chance against any one. I think Gonzaga's bigs would be trouble for us. I think we would take most anyone else. It is about matchups, and on a neutral court I think we match up well and have the experience to go deep in the tourney.
I sure do hope you’re right but the evidence so far has been to the contrary. Granted, we haven’t played on a neutral court in a long time. I do like the makeup of our team and when we started playing better I admit I started thinking Elite 8 again but I think that was my fan bias kicking in some.

One look at the box score and you can tell we lost this game because of a lack of post presence. I'm to the point where I think it would be better for post season to sit Uros and hope that Aidoo can develop and improve over these last games of the season by tossing him in there sink or swim. Stay with Fulky and JJJ at the four. Fulky can spell Aidoo at the five if Uros can't give us a few minutes of good basketball.

They are 14-1 at home…Mississippi State had lost 1 game at home. This is big boy basketball. But your point was kind of ridiculous with “things on the line.” Nothing was really on the line today.

Yeah, I have been a (slight) defender of Uros, but now that we’ve seen the impact Aidoo can have, there’s no reason he should have significant minutes any more
