Smith was a miss, I’ll admit.

I would have been happy with Cardwell but he’s not a game changer.

Smith‘s home is 60 minutes from Auburn, and his family being close enough to watch him play was important to him, per Smith himself. Sometimes there are things that a coach has no control over.
