There were hints when Barnes was giving ZZZ over the top compliments before the season began. While he had just added the #1 PG in the country.

Right and is also part of a growing problem in sports overall. People talk out of their ass and nobody holds them accountable! I hear and see so much inaccuracy!

It’s just annoying because if you’re not considered an “elite” program you get largely ignored. It’s not good for the sport. They just talked about UNC for an entire segment and barely mentioned anything about Tennessee or their performance other than a subtle dig.

Powell may or may not be better than Bailey- I don’t think we really know for sure yet. People on this board were also saying Powell was better than Vescovi as recently as a few days ago. Powell did get the start today over Bailey so at the moment he is probably ahead in the pecking order but way too early to dismiss Bailey, imo. He did average 9-10 ppg last year. I am glad he is a Vol and Barnes will give him PT if he earns it and won’t if he doesn’t.

They are two different players. I'm sure coach will use them in situations that are best for them and the team. They are both valuable pieces.

Chandler easily gets a double-double, but a few of his passes were too good. The bigs weren’t ready for them.

10.9 ppg in 2020-21. Third leading scorer behind Keon and Jaden. I honestly didn’t realize that he was that productive. The multiple ice cold streaks tarnished my opinion of VJ,

Bailey is an aggressive minded scorer. When he has the 3 pt range, he can rain down threes, and he is a slasher attacking the basket. People on these boards complain that there aren't enough alphas on the team - well, he is an alpha on offense. There are lots of situations where his skills can help.

Bailey is a losing basketball player. He just is. He doesn’t have any shot IQ, he can’t handle the ball, he doesn’t play hard on defense consistent. He slows the offense down. Good kid, but he doesn’t need minutes on this team. And with Ziegler’s breakout today there is zero reason Bailey should play.

But I will say this: Your basketball knowledge is similar to finding a turd in a punch bowl. No offense but Barnes has forgotten more basketball than you have ever known.

Second half rotation seemed productive, I would cut Uros’s minutes, he is sloowwww. Bailey and Kumwah seem to play better against lesser competition. I think Hatfield will assume more minutes, Powell is smart and doesn’t turn it over much, I like him better than Bailey.
