The Official #17 Tennessee vs. #25 Missouri Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, ESPN

I agree JJJ needs to complete this year and move on never going be any better than he is;a great guy but just to damn streaky. The same goes for Plasvic and the Finnish kid and Key and Vescovi just move on

It's like some of you so called fans don't watch this team at all....it's baffling saying Vescovi needs to move ....are you that obtuse?

He’s a good shooter. That’s about it.
He’s a really good defender, rebounds well for a guard. Of all the people to criticize for losing today Vescovi is literally the last one. But I know you have your weird hate fetish for him, literally the only thing you post in the basketball forum is criticism for Vescovi. I genuinely wonder if you’re a student and y’all had some beef or something

You saw what you needed to see in the SEC tournament both good and bad. There wasn't really anything to be gained after the win yesterday. JJJ just can't have another game like that going forward for us to win, plain and simple.

Nah, that season was derailed by COVID. If you'll remember we even had a pause early because of the rules about quarantine.

To me the most disappoint season coaching was 2019-20, sure you lost Bone, Kyle, Admiral, and Grant...but 17-14 and the 2 previously great seasons you didn't have anyone ready to go on the bench? Turner goes down and the season was only saved by getting Santi eligible early (which essentially wasted a season for him imo).

And even then...that roster should have been good enough to win 20 games. Pons, Fulky, Bowden, Turner, Santi, JJJ, Jalen Johnson, and even ON....yet they went 17-14 and were just an awful offense.
That would’ve been my second choice. I think including Scov and JJJ is a bit unfair cause they weren’t who they developed to be. I find it hard to criticize the coach too much when the go to player is John Fulkerson. Plus the win in Lexington that year is one of my favorites

A highly experienced, successful coach should be able to effectively cope with roster turnover.

He shouldn't panic. He does what's necessary to get the job done.

Barnes has no excuses. He's dealt with roster problems many times before.

If he is a good developer of talent he should have capable players ready to step in when a player is lost from fouls and injury.

Couldn't inbound the ball at the end of the game. Turned it over.

Not a way for winning a close game.

He’s a good player. He’s not great. It is what it is. I also didn’t blame him for the loss today.

He would have made over 100 threes again already if wasn’t for the shoulder. Second best shooter I have seen put on the Vols jersey behind Lofton.

Didn't watch him as a Vol, but I'd have Allan Houston ahead of Santi (and he's my favorite player on the team) still.

Santi will finish top 3 in made 3 pointers, top 5 in 3 point attempts and % though.

I actually thought we played pretty well today.
Missouri is going to be a tough out if they shoot this well in the tourney. James was a massive letdown and we need him to get by the first weekend.
