Which players over there just few years would you say have been developed well?
I'm not pushing an agenda but asking a question. Is Barnes getting the most out of his players? It's he developing players as well as he did before he lost his first group of assistants?
It could be worse ....The "Barnes Wall (c)" Vols hit it earlier than most years. Can u believe this team was ranked #2 in the country at one point? Wow.
You obviously consider the SEC Tournament to be important. These are some harsh comments following yesterday's loss in the SEC Tournament. If that is the case, and you do consider the SEC Tournament to be a time of the season "when it matters," then I would point out that Tennessee won the SEC Tournament last year. Now, was that an example of "Barnes doing his thing again," or does that not count, because you are a gloomy Gus who just likes to vent after every Tennessee loss?Rick Barnes is trash. This team is almost unwatchable. It's just bunch of older college players without NBA potential, Julian Phillips should average 15 shots a game and theres no excuse for not playing B.J. Edwards more. Barnes doing his thing again, winning early meaningless games and collapsing when it matters.
LSU crapped the bed when UT played them. Brian like looked like a deer in headlights.Nah, we caught some breaks this past football season, like LSU on the opening kickoff. It’s starting to come back. Of course it’s funny how when you are doing the right things you seem to get “lucky” way more than those not doing the right things.

More than likely, Rick Barnes will eventually be replaced by a mid-major coach who will never take Tennessee to the NCAA Tournament, and get fired after 4 seasons. Maybe then, the fan base will appreciate what we have had since the 2017-2018 season. Things really haven't been that bad.
Indeed. It's why I prefer to appreciate what we have in Barnes while we have him. Never know how a replacement will do. Until the man retires or is dismissed, I'm just gonna support and enjoy what he's able to give us in basketball. Won't lie....I'm pretty happy that I'm more worried about what our seed in the NCAAT will be vs our pairing in the NIT.You obviously consider the SEC Tournament to be important. Exactly. Unless you are a blue blood program, it is not easy to get an established coach to leave his job. Doug Dickey thought he had Pat Kennedy of Florida State wrapped up in 1989, but Kennedy's wife pitched a fit, so Kennedy backed out the day before the press conference was going to be scheduled. Dickey also thought he had Kevin Stallings in 1997, but Stallings chose to stay at Illinois State. Jamie Dixon turned us down in 2011 to stay at Pittsburgh.Indeed.
