That's not true. They were loaded with 5 stars and had comparable levels of talent even back then. Just a quick look at their talent composites confirms this.

This may surprise you, but we did in fact use the portal. You just naively think that every kid we call just comes running on over to play for TN? You’re gonna take the absolute best players that are willing to come. Maybe they're just not willing.

So the guy who turned Hooker into a draft pick despite a torn ACL could not get a portal guy better than Milton?? My shot about his weight was out of line, but he didn’t make any effort in the portal for a QB. He’s got blinders when it comes to Milton and his team is paying the price for his poor judgment.

While not being stellar if the offense could even run a play I guarantee you this D would look 100% different. What is the deal w everyone saying “Nico may get injured?” TN plays better competition (UGA, FL, Bama, Oklahoma)and our O line won’t be better next season. Nico needs to gain 15/20 LBS but he could still use the work in a bowl game to gain confidence.

Most coaches make a chance when it becomes obvious that the current starter can’t take you where you want to go. So far CJH has refused to give our offense a chance to find a spark.

If we can't put him in a position to win, I'm not sure I would put him in.
