Adam Dunn and Nationals in extension talks, and reportedly (per Buster Olney) if something isn't worked out pretty soon, he's a ChiSock and we possibly get Carlos Quentin. Heard gordon beckham's name floating around, then heard he won't be haveable.

Dunn probably hits for a little higher average, but overall I agree. Dunn is probably a little older.

I think the Braves need to overpay to get another bat. They have a great chance at getting to the WS and they have plenty of pitching prospects to get a deal done.

And if they trade for a Type A or B FA, they can always get a couple of draft picks next year.

And the Jays need to trade John Buck.

i agree. i have felt for a while that hart is a bit overrated and certainly not worth a lot of money.

I know, and I still don't think they deal Escobar. But he asked for rumors and I gave him the biggest rumor I knew of. As far as Corey Hart goes, I doubt they do it too but I'd like it if something could be worked out.

They dealt Escobar today for Alex Gonzales from Toronto.

From what i heard the Phils would get Oswalt, Rays would get Werth and the Astros would get Rays prospects. Who the hell knows though.

Phillies are trying to clear $ for Oswalt and a spot for top prospect Dominic Brown in the outfield. BJ Upton helps accomplish neither.
