Anyone tried one of these? Watched some videos and looks interesting.
SSAR-15® SBS | Slide Fire® | Bump Fire Rifle Stocks | Freedom Unleashed
Think it works close to advertised?
It wouldn't be the 1st or 100th time I pissed a hundy away.
Oh, I'm sure it probably does work pretty close to what it's designed to do.
SlideFire, IMO, is good for two things...well, maybe four:
1. Burning through ammo without hitting jack crap
2. Redneck YouTube videos
3. (maybe) selling it to tacticool wannabe ninja types that never use it
4. (maybe) selling it to those who use it about two times before ammo gets too expensive to burn up
Just my opinion.
If I had free (or close to free) supplies of ammo it might be a hoot. Otherwise, I just can't see the use for one myself. Burning through ammo seems to be the point.
Of course, I've got a .500 S&W so I can't exactly be too harsh banging the practicality drum.
I'm sure it's all fun and stuff for the first thirty seconds. After that?
"Well, that was fun and stuff..."
If you handload (as I do) things can be made a lot more pleasant. (Surprising what really big bullets can accomplish even at relatively sedate velocities)
Having said that just two cylinders of the full "big boy" rounds is about all I'm good for, at least if I'm planning on hitting anything. Dropping the hammer on a 400gr bullet sitting on a .308 rifle size powder charge is not a whimsical undertaking.
Actually, I was talking about the SlideFire lol
You can keep your hand cannons.
1. It's way over priced for what it is.
2. Ammo is like gold these days.
3. See number 2.
The only reason I could honestly see for buying a slide fire stock is, maybe making some money after the government bans them. See the whole sig brace debacle for how those things work out.
Other than that, it's junk imo.
