The Official #3 Tennessee vs. #11 Michigan NCAA Tournament Game Thread, 5:50 PM ET, CBS

You don’t have a clue. Uros is every bit as athletic as Dickinson who just beat us. 7 footers who are 250+ And can switch on screens are not commonplace. He also had 9 rebounds and 2 steals and was the only guy who could remotely guard their big man

Yes or no… can we depend on Uros to take over a game like Dickinson?

Dickerson is gonna be the number 1 pick right? I don’t remember a 7’1 guy who can do what he does.

The issues I saw on D weren’t from him. It was Fulky unable to play the pick n roll.

Uros got beat some off the dribble but if you’re guarding a 7 footer who can hit 3s and force you that far out and take you off the dribble, we have to be get help to the ball. Our defensive help was slow
It was slow all around. Everyone seemed a little off tonight on D. Dickenson ate us alive inside and out. He’s a tough matchup for anyone.

Anyone who knows anything about the tournament knows it’s a game of nstchups. This wasn’t a great matchup for us. Dickinson is good inside but he can come out and hit the 3 so that opens the middle too. Tough matchup particularly when we shoot poorly.

So it's not on coaches if their team gets outplayed by a bubble team? Gotcha.
If Vescovi plays half of what he did Thursday we aren't even having this conversation. You can't help or predict when your #2 key player lays an egg.
Tenn didn't play stupid or anything that makes you say "what is Barnes doing?". They only went cold for a little bit there. I thought their D was fine too and Michigan (big guy and Brooks) simply outplayed them.
Also the refs were biased. If just that wasn't so terrible they still possibly win.

I disagree..they had a good scouting report…vesocvi was absent because his man stuck with him and never lost sight of him..on top of vescovi just missing
Yeah, it’s just disappointing but I’ve only seen one other game this year where Vescovi could not get open or create shots. He certainly was not moving like he usually does and a lot of hesitation. Passing up shots he normally strokes with confidence like that transition three. More standing around and lack of moving the ball around the perimeter like we normally do. Just a strange game to me but tough for all of us fans as this team is just so damn likable, great kids.

Time to move to the BF! Wait, this is also the BF. Hmmm…

Everyone get behind our Basevols as we have a great shot at Omaha!

Im not a coach worshiper. The game is not hard. The players had open looks and didnt make them. We have no true big man and that bit us in the ass today. That could be blamed on Barnes and the staff.

Could also blame it on Olivier injury or Fulk basically vanishing from what he gave us last 2 years.

I’d be surprised if they win against Nova. People don’t want to hear it but Wright / Nova is much different than Barnes / Vols.
My ability to be surprised by the NCAA tournament is pretty much gone at this point
My ability to be pissed about it is still fully functional though

Hes incapable of seeing how much favoritism Dickinson got all night.
My 2 cents (may not be worth that): great job by Barnes molding a bunch of really young guys with old guys. Today was just like every other loss this year; other team gets hot and we don’t have anybody who can hit a 3. Also, if that 7foot 1 guy shoots 3s like that we don’t really have much of a chance. He made more 3s than our whole team. That being said, we missed kumquat today because he’s the only big we have that could shoot from 3. When our big comes out to set a screen theirs could just stand in the middle of the lane and clog things up. That’s one thing we have to get better at. If our bigs can shoot from there it opens everything up. I’m looking forward to next year. It really should be our best chance if we can keep the team together. I didn’t really expect a championship because it takes a bit of luck and we sure haven’t had that. It is so hard to stay that hot for 6 straight games. I’m still proud of the effort and I know they didn’t miss all those open 3s on purpose. They’re still one of my all time favorite teams because of the kind of guys they are. Class.

I trust everyone has finally learned their lesson w Barnes coached teams. No final four talk....ever. Cautious optimism should be the maximum level of excitement every year. I don't care if we're #1 overall seed or undefeated. Final four? Yeah right.
