He will play more the next game since Michigan has traditional big men. I would've liked to have seen him exploit the height advantage.
Plasvic is more disappointing as an upperclassman and starter. He looked scared to go up strong like he thought he would get his shot blocked.
To make sure I understand, you wanted the bench guys to play as cohesively as the rotating guys?Y’all missed the point but it’s all good. Wasn’t asking for the starters to remain in the game or them to keep their foot on the pedal. Simply made a statement about them being sloppy with the fundamentals.
They got the W and no injuries so I’m ecstatic. Just think their sloppiness with the basics is gonna bite them against a better opponent.
He definitely is not. Santi has always had great basketball sense at both ends. He plays like a playmaker, cuts well, has great court awareness. He definitely improved foot speed and strength, but he’s always been a basketball player. Powell is a good shooter. He has bad court awareness, doesn’t understand offensive flow, has no ability to change direction. He can’t cross over or drive with authority. When he did well, it was when everyone was guarding our vetted players and he was wide open. He shot well unguarded. I worry that he’ll never fit given the need to cut, drive and screen in this offense; and play defense in a system that needs good athletes to switch 1-5.Powell appears to be as athletic as Vescovi, just has to keep chopping wood.
I’d love to be wrong. I hope I am. He really looks like a private school high school set shooter right now.He definitely is not. Santi has always had great basketball sense at both ends. KY was really hitting on all cylinders that game but even so, look at the assists compared to us today. We had half again as many. That is really an impressive number of points off assists and one of the things that makes this team a lot of fun to watch.Kentucky in our first game this season;
FG: 67%
3 FG 61%
Assists 19
FT: 20/21 (95%)
Tells me to not get overconfident following a great shooting game
Your comparing basketball skill and the question was athleticism. Don’t recall how much you have hung around this forum the past 2 seasons but Vescovi had more detractors than Uros this year hammering on his lack of athleticism and his inability to create his own shot. Vescovi kept working and maturing. Powell can do the same if he will work as hard. JMOHe definitely is not. Santi has always had great basketball sense at both ends. Skills he can learn and earn. Hasn’t made much progress so far.He definitely is not. Santi has always had great basketball sense at both ends. I didn’t get the impression K Smith was pushing the B1G with his comments. He was saying from his experience that the 2nd game of the tournament was the toughest to mentally prepare for on a high seeded team, especially after an easy first round game. Also think he was playing bad cop to all the compliments from Ernie, Clark and Charles. They have to create some broadcast drama even if there isn’t any.The only reason 17-14 Michigan is in this tournament is the B1G bias of the media that influences the selectors.
They lost to UNC a team we beat by 21 and to recently deceased Iowa by 11
Kenny Smith of the ACC shouldn't be such a B1G promoter.

You have some serious comprehension issues but I am not going to correct you as i rather spend my time conversing with individuals with some intellect instead of a child or keyboard warrior trying to insult someone. But if you gets you through the day then so be it.
Go Vols!
