I can’t say I expected to win it all, but it’s hard to even get my hopes up in the slightest when we have games like this in March.

Sweet 16 would be a pretty good year, but I really wish for TN, Barnes, and all of his seniors that they could get it together enough to make it to the final 4 this time. Capable.. but hard to believe they have the confidence to clutch enough games in the big dance. Usually, the team that wins it all looks unstoppable this time of year. Maybe Houston? I don’t think it will be an SEC team.

Sometimes I wonder why I even watch sports. Then I remember, it's games like last week. But man, do the disappointments hurt. I hate it for our guys. I know they wanted that win more than anyone here. They showed lots of fight. There were so many plays that could have gone the other way. That's basketball, I guess.

Yeah, you can foul someone before the ball comes out of your hands. What kind of point is that? Literally has his arm around his back and swipes down at his arms. Refs didn't want to call a foul, simple as that.

Could have been called but it wasn’t. He has to go up stronger than that. But that’s not the guy you want taking the last shot especially on a dribble drive. Milc got pulled earlier because he was lost and made a horrible turnover.

I am proud of this team and love Coach Barnes. But it is okay imo to be disappointed, esp. with the one seed on the line. Plus we had the lead most of the game. Look at the stats.

We will bounce back but i liked our chances better as a one seed. Now we will be in Duke’s bracket most likely.

Look at it this way- at least we are bickering over a #1 vs #2 SEED.

Im amazed that anyone who watches a lot of college basketball thought this was an auto dub simply because of what was on the line. Teams can lose even when they’re focused and know what’s on the line. It’s life.

I also believe if Auburn loses to Bama one has to question whether they should be a number 1 seed considering Bama just lost to us and Florida back to back.

Auburn will handle bama at Auburn. By at least 10 points. Bet it , forget it.

No he didn’t . Brakefield was backing up the entire time. Even if there was (and don’t think there was) refs in no situation are going to call a simply brush. If they did that in these games there would literally be 100 fouls. Even your pics are so grainy and bad angle you can’t tell what separation there was between the two players.

Hell if Florida gets beat Saturday & we win a 1 seed still a possibility.

But this loss puts Florida in control now.

Florida’s win over Alabama put Florida in control tonight. Florida would have jumped us, even if we won.

I’ve been a Tennessee basketball fan as long as I’ve been a football fan. We’ve enjoyed a lot of success, true, but we are still the only SEC team to never make a Final Four. Even when we had Bernard King, because he was injured during the tournament, we missed out. It’s a point of frustration as a Tennessee basketball fan, and getting a 1 seed helps your chances tremendously. It’s not irrational to be really frustrated with this loss.

Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Missouri have also never been to the Final Four.

It's not the same though. Auburn had nothing on the line. Their 1 seed is secured. That's the difference.

Just came off of an emotional win on Saturday

My biggest gripe is offense. Without ZZ & Igor Tn ran hard screens and drove the ball and fed Okpara and opened up 3s and they looked like an offense is suppose to look. The very next week they fall back into hurry and get the ball over half court and use up the shot clock and take bad 3s. I have no ideal what ZZ is doing, he drives the lane and most times he has an open floater or layup and he kicks back out for a 3. We just have no idenity on offense. This game they pushed the ball and opened up a 8 point lead and then went right back to slowing it down and within 30 seconds the game was tied. They pushed the ball a lot in the A&M game and they looked like an offense. If this teams plays slow in the tournament then they wont last long.Just dont see it.They look good playing fast. They looked like the #1 team when they played fast against Baylor earlier in the year and I thought this team an offense can beat any team.

You know - that’s right. TN got up on them by 8 and then slowed it downed and ran the offense slow and without purpose. Let them get right back in the game.

Nah a sweet sixteen is still a successful season. This team is much less talented than last year. Got a chance to do more with less.

There's really not much of a difference between being a high number two seed and low 1 seed

Last year only one number 1 seed make it to the elite 8, right?

It didn’t affect them at all. They can even lose their first game in the SEC tournament and stay as. 1 seed.

Have to give Ole Miss credit, they outplayed and out hustled us down the stretch. Its basketball, it happens but its still frustrating. Have to put teams away especially on the road

I saw them call MANY of these so called "brushes" on Tennessee tonight. We had fouls called when our guys played no defense at all.
