Yeah,that was an unusual take considering that's what won them the game.

Defense was fine. But the points scored is not a great metric as USCjr plays at a snails pace. You generally look at point per possession.

They were salty when JJJ committed to Tennessee, they were salty when Barnes brought his guys in a couple of years ago and beat Clemson in their own house in an exhibition game, they’ve been salty since the head to head UT dominance. They’re stuck with Brown-L because their AD cares mostly about football, and they know Barnes was the best coach they’ve ever had.

SC wanted a slow, defensive game. They got it. They found out a confident and focused Rick Barnes' team with a plethora of players plays a higher level defense and can score when necessary
