Next half us a whole new half. Good thing is that Duke is overpaying their starters. They seemed tired to finish out the 1st half. We got some guys some rest and throwing fresh bodies on them. The key this half is get Roach his 4th early and continue to bother Flipkowski. If JJJ could find his shot that would be magical as well.

Such a conflicting game for me.

Vescovi, who everyone crapped on after Vandy/Missouri, leading the team in points, assists and rebounds.

There is a reason the SEC coaches have nominated him 1st team SEC in consecutive years even though his PPG isn’t as high as others.

He is a complete basketball player and even when he isn’t scoring, the defensive attention he draws is huge for creating space for other players

If ZZ was healthy, JJJ ans Phillips had a dominate Offensive iso game, Bigs do what bigs do, Suprise ORN big performances. And Mashaks defense off the bench along with Keys offense off the bench. Was dreaming at the start of the season.

I think we’re benefiting a lot from playing a Duke program that knows nothing about us. Not enough time to game film us for this one, they’re trying to play traditional sets, and it isn’t working so far.

Why has Duke only subbed in one guy all game? Is their bench that bad? Our subs have bee nthe difference in this game (Key and Aido) which gives the starters a rest.. will be interesting to see how it goes in second half.

8 fouls a piece. So not sure that’s an accurate statement.

The problem is Duke foul calls are ticky tack calls that are very apparent to be make up calls. Meanwhile we are getting hacked non stop.

Charles Barkeley has always been my favorite of the announcers. He says stuff they miss (sure sometimes it is hit or miss but he knows the game overall).

Close game statistically. 8 PFs each. They are out shooting us percentage wise but we are leading. UT five steals to their 2. A low scoring game favors the Vols. We need to take the ball to the basket and slam it in.

Let's see who adjusts the best and whether our D can hold them from getting a big run. Go Vols!

I’m going to feel as amazed as my Blackhawks defeating the Bruins 6-3 this week if Tennessee defeats Duke today even though I know Duke is not in that same heavyweight class compared to Kansas, Gonzaga, etc.
