I grossly disagree. We had 10 hits to 6 and absolutely blistered the ball all over the field multiple times just right at people. Gilbert’s ball down the line was fair in live action and from what I’ve heard was fair on tv replays. If we have a double there to lead things off instead of an out on the next pitch we may be talking about a different game. Liam barreled up a lot of balls just couldn’t catch a beak. Every bounce except Connor bloop went against us.

Watching on replay from the angle presented, it sure looks like a BS call to me. Max's left hand appears to be loosely held to balance himself for the slide, not a fist or a stiff arm, and it was casual contact. It didn't look like his hand hit or punched the guy, whether in the crotch or not. Whether Max's hand hit the other guy's package is irrelevant vs if he made casual contact on his leg or anywhere else. The fielder's supposed to be wearing protection anyway. Are they saying it wouldn't have been interference if the hand did not make contact with the crotch?

Edit: It could have been called interference on the fielder - interfering with Max's slide. How come it isn't ruled that the fielder interfered with Max?

That’s not getting just plain beat as you said. Some days balls just don’t fall. Us leaving runners on due to a rope right at an outfielder is not Bama beating us. The errors and us walking in a run is beating ourselves. Bama put one solid hit in play today and it was unfortunately the winning run.

For anyone curious why the SEC and even the NCAA at large protects Alabama, here’s some light reading for you. Alabama invented the multi-billion $ industry and got everyone rich. And the rich get richer because of it. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s just the way it is.

Out of the frying pan and into the fryer. MSU pitching their ace tomorrow. Offense is going to need to find a new gear overnight after the silent bats today. It will be another brawl to get a W.

If we lose tomorrow we’re 4th in the SEC pecking order for a top 8 IMO. May get dicey depending on what else happens. Ncaa would love to not have 4 SEC teams as national seeds.
