Mashack is probably our best defender and the most tenacious we’ve got. Giving him the orders to stay in his pocket and make life difficult for him may pay dividends.

On the shots thus far tonight it wouldn't. The defense has been pretty good.

If we can force him to shoot those tough shots without Mashack, it allows us to utilize Mashack on Reeves and company.

Better defensive strategy.

Excuse my ignorance and if this has already been asked but the little jump hop UK players are doing is that not a travel? I know it is never called in the NBA so I guess now in college basketball. Reeves does it every time he shoots a 3.

I don’t disagree. I’m just saying the refs have been consistent so far. If I’m Barnes, I’d tell my players to play tighter defense away from the ball if the refs are going for allow them to play.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we se more whistles 2nd half.

They’ve been good in general with the exception of the Knecht stuff in my mind.

Second half will be interesting. I just hope they call balanced and don’t go completely all in for Big Blue, which we all know is a possibility.

It’s more than 2 steps so by rule, it’s a travel.

It’s just not getting called.

It seems way more noticeable when UK does it. I will watch our players more closely though.

Did you see DK after the last Tennessee possession? The UK player hacked him, no call and then the UK player talked smack.

DK’s demeanor just changed in response. He looked pissed. I expect a huge second half from DK.

Dillingham is just a gifted shooter and offensive weapon. Without his offense, this would be a more comfortable lead for us. Calipari doesn’t do anything spectacular.

You’ve got a good point on Reeves and the others. But if Dillingham keeps hitting at this clip, I think you’ve have to shake it up a bit.

Up the pressure on the guy and force him to change his shot.

He’s 1-4 from 2 pt range. Run him off the three point line and make him guard the ball on the other end.
