Wow, the last 5 or so minutes they were allowing full contact rebounding on our end. Santi got a double forearm shiver on the OOB play and they let it ride. I was already chalking up a loss, and I don't do that often, but Coach played the bad call card loudly enough they did not get as many HOMER whistles, though they were allowed way too much defensive contact all the way to the end of the game. Odds on the long balls finally caught up with them the last few minutes. Glad the long range shimmy dancers got their due in the end.GRAB THE DAMN BALL!!!!
That’s why we have to be sharp. Part of the game on the road and it ended up evening out pretty well actually. Now the continuation BS is ridiculous. What’d they get, 4 of those calls that should’ve been on the floor? The Refs were playing home town favorites today. Even a blind man could see that ball was out of Georgia yet we had to go to the monitor to prove it. Then they have to foul Knecht three times before they ever called it. Barnes finally went to the right defense and stopped their open three looks. Glad we won but didn't like the way we played today fouling and turnovers made it as close as it turned out to be.
He certainly played solid D late in that game. One observation: I know a lot of people look at Santi right now and think he’s a shell of his former self since he isn’t scoring like we are accustomed to seeing him score. Some have even lumped him in JJJ these last couple of games calling him a no show. To me, though, Santi is still making winning plays. He may not be scoring, but he is contributing in a positive way.
His three IMO turned the game today.
