He isn't teaching major college basketball players how to layup (though ironically they did show him having layup drills). If they can't hit layups, that's on them.

Thats not what im saying. ZZ, SV, JJJ theyre shooters, they arent finishers. Phillips or Key are slashers that get to the rim, put the ball in their hands late tell them get to the middle of the pain and either finish or kick. SV should be standing behind the 3 pt line not the one driving its not his game.

What’s more frustrating is Oscar was allowed to be more physical than Uros on the defensive end considering he should have been fouled out himself.

Dude is a good player but he gets treated like royalty way too much.

His biggest flaws are not being able to get a dominant consistent big man and a reliable scorer.

Plav was literally the only thing we did well on offense.

James had 5
Phillips had 2

Missed 6 layups
Missed 1,000 FTs (including several front ends)

ZZ is 2 ft nothing, hes not a threat because he cant go over the top. If you lose because Santi cant hit a 3 it is what it is, if you lose because Santi is driving thats terrible coaching.

4 pt swing on that one too with the JJJ foul. Happened on another that resulted a 5 point swing.

Tennessee played poorly and didn’t finish both at the rim and on the glass. Happens in CBB

I hate that the team pulled of its classic “can’t score / missing layups / shooting less than 15% from 3 games” when the program was retiring Lofton’s jersey.

Idk. It’s a long season, so I don’t want to make any emotional statements, but it’s extremely discouraging to hear how often we claim the other team wanted it more. We have a tough stretch of games coming up. We better get right mentally before then.

The only thing I can think of what he said has almost become a cliche after a loss; becaues if our team really didn't "want it" then holy crap.

I forgot he was on our team today. I don’t think I heard his name called one time.

I expected more out of him as I thought he was a one and done player. Hopefully he will improve and his athleticism can take over. It’s difficult for these young men as lofty expectations and pressure.

The Bama freshman from Nashville area is a beast, so I was hopeful Phillips would be similar.
