That runout in the first half didn’t even hit the rim. The rim! Had the defender been right on him I’d have understood but ZZ was wide open, had time to slow down enough to not do what he did and I thought he did and he did it anyway.Barnes isn’t out there shooting layups. These are D1 ball players. Hit the f****** layup.
Well had they not missed the easy shots throughout the game, it probably wouldn't have come down to the end. And I don't necessarily agree. If a play is called it's still up to the players to execute it properly.
I dont disagree, but the Barnes white knights wont let you say that. The teams that get it done in the big games go to the rim when they are struggling, we just throw up prayers and hope they go in.We've done that for the last 2 or 3 years. There's just no offensive awareness. Again, that's coaching.
Did you even watch UT basketball last year lmfaoIf our players are trying to force bad shots up over and over, that is a coaching issue. Rick Barnes tends to have teams with very low offensive IQ. That Williams/Schofield/Bone year was the only exception, but even that team fell WAY short of expectations when it mattered most.
Call me a troll, I dont care, but this team wont go deep for the same reason they never do. BarnesThe key to beating this Tennessee team is playing physical and challenging us. Those that can and have enough offense have a shot at beating us.
This was a bad loss, second one of the season. Still a long way to go. I was really starting to believe this team was very capable of a deep run, and they still may be...... But they are just as capable of a first round exit.
