The Official #5 Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Game Thread, 1:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Unfortunate that Barnes doesn't get another win today as VN fired him at halftime 😂
Nobody fired him nor said we would lose. Most, including me, said it was a poor first half performance. There were some boos in the crowd prior to the half too.

Idk why people get so upset when fans on a message board get ticked off when others post factual comments. If you think TN played well, and like a top 5 team, then I can’t help you.

I’m enjoying it unlike you who is trying to shame people for not liking the first half. Lmao.

Oh I'm LOVING it, just sad that I can't make a joke directed at NO ONE and still gotta deal with soft fair weather fans taking it to heart.

If I'm talking to you I'll quote you.

Given the effort we saw, the whole team could have been fired at halftime. Worst performance of the year. Fortunately there are two halves and the Vols responded. Z said some words were said by Barnes and him at the half. Somebody lit a fire under them for sure. Hoping they can start putting two halves together.

Now the super fans start showing up to tell people how awful they are for negative posts in the first half.
Has nothing to do with "super" fans. It's about having a reasonable perspective. Marathon season of 40 min games. Some posters react to our occasional losses with petty and ignorant criticism then aren't anywhere to be found after wins. Same thing happens by the minute every game.

Good win, great comeback, but that first half performance is just unacceptable from a team like this, at this point in the season, AT HOME...

I still can't believe the horrible officiating today, that it just keeps getting worse and seems like home court for the Vols is almost worse... Igor did NOT foul that kid, he literally jumped into him and the ref just gave it to him. Pathetic. Never mind their first big man to foul out knocking the 'ish outa Cade over and over and then call the foul on Cade...

We shouldn't have even been in this situation the last 6-8 minutes of the game, just come out and play consistent in the first half at HOME, and we blow these candy's out...

We are short-handed (Barnes has to take a lot of the blame on this, no excuses) and fight hard, but we will lose another 3-4 before the end of the season, it is just what it is at this point. Inconsistent play at the end of the season, this is what you get.

Exactly. Some people don’t understand ball.

I wish someone with the time would review the tape to see how many illegal picks were committed by 22. Every time I backed up the dvr and rewatched a play 22 could have been called for an illegal pick.
And lowering his shoulder into the defenders chest every time he went to the basket. Not one charge called. I don’t understand what is and is not a foul anymore.

Igor looked sweaty, hurt and sick and the rest were out of sorts. Defense (which is usually good) looked meh. I was sure we were going to lose this one. Glad I was wrong.
Only 2 boards for our leading rebounder - hopefully he wasn’t 100%
