Dealing with the Houston trap (Monster) will be key. Vanderbilt was successful trapping ZZ and I’m betting Houston uses it a lot, if for no other reason to get the ball out of his hands. If we have a good plan for that we can win. These Vols are hungry and motivated and will play their asses off to keep going. I think our defense needs to be similar to how we defended KY, as the Houston offense loves to drive and kick out to the shooters. Force them to beat us from 2.

Thought it’s been interesting how often in the Kentucky game someone besides Z brought the ball up the court. Seems like we’ve improved a lot lately against the press. JMO

Very few neutrals are giving us a chance in this game. I keep seeing the same stupid “Barnes in March” narrative. Please prove them wrong Vols!
Unfortunately, it's the narrative for Rick Barnes all the way back to his time at Texas...it's actually the reason Texas parted ways with CRB.

I would love, love, love for this to be the year that is put aside. GO VOLS !!!!

I can’t take another heartbreak for this program. Hoping and praying today is the day we finally get it done.

I hear ya. I want the natty obviously, but getting that first final four and the silver tab on the jersey would be huge. We’ve been way to steady of a program the last two decades to not have a final four. It’s the elephant in the room. Today we need to kick it out of the house.

This is certainly doable folks. Common opponents: Lost to Auburn by 5, lost to Bama by 5 in OT. Beat Baylor twice by single digits. Other notables, they spilt with Texas Tech, beat BYU twice, beat Arizona twice. We don’t have to worry about getting beat in transition because it isn’t their style. They do shoot 40% as a team from 3 so that is key to stop, just like KY. We’ve got this…😎🍊🏀

Thanks Yankee for creating the game threads all season. Hope you get the opportunity to create a couple more!
Agreed that this is in fact, a masterful and well displayed thread of Yankee’s. Thanks!

Houston is a respectable, classy basketball team with a respectable, classy coach. Wish we could have met them one round later. Nevertheless, this should be a game to represent the best of college basketball. Excited to witness it and hoping the Vols come out victorious! GO VOLS!!!

I don't care if it's the ugliest basketball game ever played and there's not a single field goal made and the score is 3-2. Just let us find a way to win!
