Ummm…their big Herman Munster dude outplayed us all afternoon. We had no answer for him.

I think we've collectively decided to go with Lurch. Herman Munster was a different show.

.... and yes, we can't match up with him. However, he does get pretty much all of the 50/50 calls. We have seen that twice now. The game today was eerily similar to our game in Hawaii from November.

True, but I really don't see bama getting past Uconn and I'd be surprised if Duke or NC St. either one could beat the big Shrek. Either way I'm not gonna waste my time watching it, got better things to do.

No - missing 3 easy open shots - in a row - by 3 of your best players with what is literally a historic opportunity on the line at a critical moment in a game to go to the final 4 . . . Is to me a classic choke job. But others may have a different opinion on the definition. Obviously you do. That’s ok. No need to be a smart ass about it. It’s likely the officials were not letting us win anyway I suppose.

I guess we could say “we didn’t get it done” instead of “choke.” But it’s the same to me. It’s the amount missed and the timing and how open they were.

I would add . . . It was 8-5 as I said. And even if we make 1-3 of those shots . . . It doesn’t mean we win. They just didn’t make them to give it a chance . . .

One thing - this makes my life MUCH easier. I now absolutely don't give a damn who wins the NCAA. I despise all five of the remaining teams. Although I may watch Doook vs Edey just to watch Edey foul out in the 1st half. The refs will ALWAYS favor Doook.

Respectfully, I disagree. Neither of us can predict the future though. I hope you are right. I don't see anybody on the bench that can be high level offense & defense. Gonna have to hit the portal hard.

I think you will be very surprised by Carr next season. Freddie is the one that I’m kinda unsure about.

You will get more out of Estrella and Awaka this next year. Gainey and Mashack will both improve. ZZ will get better too

I do think we need at least one transfer scorer or transfer big man.

Should have got JJJ more shots. He was making them early. In the last 1:20 or so they should have just fouled as soon as the ball got inbounds because you knew they were going to work it in to Edey at the end of the shot clock and he was going to draw a foul anyway. Top 2 priorities for next season 1.) Find a scorer in the portal 2.) Put 25 pounds on Aidoo. We won’t find another Dalton but something close would be nice

That’s sounds like an “on the take” stat. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen anywhere near that much of a disparity in FTs ever in a game.

That’s not choking. That’s just missing some shots. We played our hearts out and lost. We didn’t choke today man. We just got beat by a 7’ 4” guy that shot a bunch of free and got every call. He had one friggin foul against him. We didn’t choke. We watched two different games.

I didn’t say they didn’t. But this was actually a FF game. Shame they lost the #1 seed. Bama wouldn’t have been placed there & neither would UNC. Staying away from matchups like this in regionals is how you get to FF.

Aidoo isn't strong enough to guard dominant bigs but he is our best help and rim defender by a mile. Fans shouldn't be too hard on him. He's not built for certain opponents and I think it's weird he started this game (no shade at Barnes, tho).

Only 1 player on each team showed up today...the difference in the game just like the 1st time was these refs love them some Purdue. I believe in our 2 games this year Purdue shot 80 foul shot to our 40.

Not necessarily. Being tall is the reason that stuff happens including his shooting % given how close to the rim he is when he shoots. The only thing that he’s done that remotely resembles skill is shooting FTs.

You’re digging for stuff that isn’t there man. We lost because of the bias officiating and it’s frustrating. Oh yeah. 1st person with 40 points and 15 rebounds in the tourney since 1990. So a non skilled person to do something that’s hasn’t been done in 34 years. I’m not an Edey fan and we all knew how this was gonna be called. Was just hoping it wasn’t gonna be as bad as it was.

I think we have enough coming back and hopefully a good portal pickup to be relevant again next year. This team gave all they could as for effort and will, but just could not hit timely shots and otherwise consistent shooters (ZZ) had an off game at the wrong time.

Did you watch him play? Gosh, he was scared to death. Couldn’t catch even easy passes.
