The Official #6 Tennessee @ #1Auburn Game Thread, 8:30 PM ET, ESPN

The shot was good. It wasn’t off balanced. Just went in and out. Lanier was doubled on the inbound anyway it looked. Go for the win imo. Foul trouble was major issue and OT was gonna be rough. Shot didn’t go in sadly and Lanier barely missed the jump on the offensive rebound. Is what it is.
Tennessee proved they could win it all tonight imo. Hell of a performance

TN wasn’t going to win in overtime. Gainey had fouled out and nobody else was stepping up. You take your shot and go for the win on a 3-pointer there.

In a defensive struggle you don’t worry about shooting too early and giving Auburn the last possession.

A quick shot greatly increases the odds of a put back. Running down the clock takes away a possible second attempt.

The odds of getting an offensive rebound after a 3 attempt are better than after a 2 attempt.
Quit being reasonable, this is VolNation.

Love the fight in this team. Calm. Disciplined.

We're one live-wire player away from being competitive in March. Carr would have been that guy. He should have known that.

This 100%. It's like electing for a two point conversion in football for the win on the road; I'll never be disappointed with a decision to go for the win.

We are 18-3 with 11 games remaining. I don’t think we will contest for the SEC so it’s about seeding for the dance. I can see us splitting with KY and then split Bama and LSU or aTm.

@KY

End of game situation where every shot is going to be heavily contested, if you can get an open corner 3 with your leader you gladly take it, and the Vols were crashing hard, it just took a bad kick. No brainier, it just didn't go down.
I get what you guys are saying. You’re on the road and decide to go for the win, yeah we got an open look, but I’m going to disagree and not describe that decision and that corner 3 as a no brainer. It is what it is, we should’ve beaten the #1 team in the country on their floot and now it’s time to look ahead to UK on Tuesday.

I think Chaz and Igor are still getting used to the SEC. It certainly isn’t like the competition at Charlotte and North Florida. Got to man up in this league every night or they’ll take your lunch money.
Yeah, I thought about that a bit ago. I’m still surprised Igor is making so many mental errors. I know he’s trying. But it looks like he’s lost while playing w/ two left feet.
