The Official #6 TENNESSEE (3-0) vs. #15 Oklahoma (3-0) Thread - Zone Edition - 9/21 @ 7:30 EST - from Memorial Stadium (Norman, OK) - ABC

I’ve heard from numerous people, WTF being the latest, that have said Michigan stadium is dead as a cemetery. Don’t know how they got rated so high. I think the people making that list just went on size and reputation but never went to a game at any of them.
If a Michigan fan is honest, they'll tell you that the UM Stadium isn't that loud because of the way it's laid out. One told me, back in the 90's, his dad moved to Sevierville from Michigan and ventured to a game at Neyland. His dad said he had never witnessed anything like our crowd.

It's built cowardly like a sad taco salad bowl.....upper decks in another zip code. Not many stadiums that have the vertical gain we do, where your still close in the upper decks. Neyland is Roman Colosseum on steroids.

Yeah we need her to come back this week. Was she the same one I got to come to the Vols Underground, or was that a different Sooner's Chick?

Autzen is cool but 4/5 of Top 5 being Big 10 is absolute BS...
Welp I wasn't saying it was accurate.....but I do think it's funny that Okies be talkin trash about homefield crowd noise.

Here's anotherone that cracks me up it does give Neyland respect at no 2...but

There is a very concrete reason that the University of Washington's Husky Stadium tops our list. That reason boils down to one day, Sept. 19, 1992, when Husky fans registered a staggering 133.6 decibels during a game against Nebraska — the highest decibel level ever recorded at a college football game.

My guy, we hit 137 a year or two before this article.

Clearly someone forgot to check the current records when they wrote this.

Erebody is a homer when it comes to their favorite stadiums to be fair.....but pretendng Gay Memorial Field is some how going to be shocking to a top SEC program? Come on.

Their lack of acknowledgment, their lack of respect, these are flaws in their perception, flaws in their character. We are Orange. We see the truth. We know the true meaning of fandom. Lead by example. GBO.

I thought loudness was measured in decibels???

Loudest College Football Stadiums

#6. Neyland Stadium, University of Tennessee

Neyland Stadium in Knoxville seats 101,915, and it’s got a reputation as being one of the most boisterous football fields in the NCAA. In 2023, during the Volunteers’ home match-up against Georgia, the Tennessee faithful set a noise level record: the stadium’s volume was recorded at 137 decibels. The previous record was held by Washington’s Husky Stadium.

#5. Autzen Stadium, University of Oregon

Autzen Stadium in Eugene has a capacity of 54,000, which is small for college football standards, but the low seats give the place an intimate and up-close feel. And that makes it all the more electric for Ducks fans and intimidating for the opposing team. Autzen Stadium, during a 2007 game against USC, produced a noise level of 127 decibels. Any sound above 120 decibels, by the way, is potentially damaging to the ear.

Watching 2015 OU@TN cause I can't wait to see some TN vs OU......I have poor memory don't tell me how it ends.....(I know we lost that's all I remember)

My first impressions.

1) Give OU fans credit they did show up...10,000 fans from OU visited....stadium looks like it has a red mohawk in upper decks.
2) I miss Dobbs....I mean I know Nico is a better QB atm, but I just love that guy. I miss him as a person.
3) I miss Derek Barnett, Pearce JR may or may not be as good as him before it's over (I beleive he will be Pearce is my fav on the team atm) , but dammit I miss seeing that dude cook. My Brentwood Acad boys will always have a special place for me, and Until James Pearce JR...he was my most Little not Little on the defense. Barnett is my fav NFL Vol ATM. I always love my D Vols mostest.

Have to pause to take boy to school.....(sigh) We up 3!

Side question is there a place you can look up vols players by jersey number? Who all has had #4? Got a jersey for my son...trying to think who all has had that number.

Jeff Hall is all that comes to mind.

Think I would have to go with Fuad, Ryan and Faulkner after that.
