It does not hurt to try and change the narrative even if it doesnt. What do you have to lose? I have seen it fire up a team by it happening.Does it ever do any good? It’s the biggest flaw to college basketball and it doesn’t seem to improve. On any given night you have to be 10-15 points better than your opponent to win when the calls are one sided.
If anything, I tend to observe that getting a T makes the refs *less* favorable to you. You give away free points and gain nothing most of the time.Does it ever do any good? Sure, stand there with your arms crossed is a good strategy too.
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate Barnes for what he’s done for the program. But this was going on all night long. Would it have made a difference? Maybe, maybe not. It’s tough to watch that go on for an entire game without seeing much pushback.
Frustration getting to me.
It’s such a weak take. If you’ve ever been to a game, you know that just about all coaches talk to the refs all night long.Oh yes, we should definitely chew out college basketball officials on national television, I’m sure those jack offs are gonna say “you know what Rick you’re right. I am wrong and doing a bad job and to prove that to you I’m gonna make up a couple calls in your favor.”
These idiots couldn’t manage a kindergarten class let alone take criticism. Please find a better angle. That criticism of Barnes is so stupid.
