Barnes let his team get railroaded and waited until the outcome was already determined to do or say anything about it.

I have a problem with that..... It'd been better to say or do nothing at all.

So you watched a live feed of Barnes the entire game and know this for a fact? That he didn't say a word to the refs until the very end?

I’ve watched bball for many decades and this one had all the earmarks of a fix you call a T on team after they get a 10 point lead. Then you’re surprised because other team hits back to back 3s so you have to go to work again. Somebody made a lot of money tonight. A team that’s leading the nation in getting to the free throw line is basically a no show. Show me the money . It’s the driver in this world. It happened in Tucson. Oh well

So, when one of the coaches berates you do you start calling the game in his favor? Seems like the consensus here is we wouldn’t get bad calls if our coach would constantly scream at the officials?

No, but I can’t say I’ve ever been part of a game that’s been called this badly. That being said, it probably wouldn’t have helped.

I have had on a few occasions a coach get animated with me on something we (or I) legitimately missed. It does make you take notice going forward for similar situations.

The reffing was terrible. Your temper tantrum won’t change that. Neither would one from Barnes.

Respected coaches all over the league lobby and demand better..... And they usually get it. The greasy wheel gets the oil........
But that just isn't Barnes' style. I saw him get fired up with 6 seconds left and give it to the refs. I don't understand why though. The outcome was already determined, it achieved nothing.

Why get mad at that point when your players have taken out sideways all night?

Sort of agree ......... but our team really struggles offensively. The post guys are clumsy and perimeter shooting is not good.

Yeah, like I said, really need Vescovi and James to get healthy in a hurry, especially because Phillips is clearly not ready to carry the load. I think Santi probably should've sat this game, he couldn't contribute offensively like he ordinarily could and I worry that we're prolonging recovery and we'll get 65% of Scov all year instead of 100% of Scov for most of the year

Dude find a different line. Both your general premise (screaming at refs helps the team get better calls) and your minor premise (Barnes wasn't engaging with the refs) are false. Any conclusion that follows is dumb, as are all posts complaining about Barnes not yelling at refs enough

Never thought I’d say this, but think plavsic getting in foul trouble really may have been the difference in the game. Awaka and aidoo were getting worked down low and plavsic was a good matchup against their big.

ON and ZZZ had really good nights. If they do that on a consistent basis we’ll be tough to beat.

If anything, I hope our fans learned that there are games where Uros adds value and will stop whining at Barnes for playing him. We’re definitely going to need him when we face Oscar Tshiebwe.

For whatever reason, college coaches have decided to sit idly by and let this happen. The sport has made the decision these guys can do whatever they want, officiate however they want and there’s no repercussions for terrible officiating. And college basketball is dying because of it.

It is exhausting. It is every year in college sports that the officials continue to be bad at their job yet never face any accountability. Literally every other profession has accountability except for one of the most lucrative ones out there.

Bruce Pearl isn't even a good answer because I asked when a T helped a visiting team. Saying "Bruce Pearl" doesn't prove anything.

Yes, Refs sucked and Barnes may have been more vocal, but when we can not knock down wide open shots when it counts, that could be what did us in too. Sometimes this **** just happens. Long season ahead and we will see how we progress
