I am a fan of JJJ but this was his worst game of the season by far

I'd argue nobody played well tonight. I only thought we'd lose if we played the absolute worst we could and UF played lights out; turns out just the "us playing the worst" needed to happen. UF was good but they weren't great.

Sometimes I really envy the front runner guy. You know, the guy that has an Alabama, chiefs and Lakers bumper sticker on his vehicle. Man that must be fun and so much less painful than having one team that you live and die with.

FL took it to us from the tip. We never matched their effort and that is disappointing.

No offensive response to their defense abd then their intensity turned into belief and then into a Blowout win

Without Springer we don't have a true elite guard. Vescovi is better at the off guard. James and Deon aren't true guards. But tonight there were other problems, we didn't block out and rebound at all and our defense broke down tonight. We were cold as ice and didn't attack the basket enough. But our true weakness is we don't have but truly one great ball handling guard and that is Springer freshman and all. Can't wait till we get him and chandler out front and then we won't be easy to attack. When Springer is in he is fast enough and good enough ball handler to get on up the floor. Vescovi just isn't very quick and it limits him, not knocking him he just isn't quite good enough at point. GBO!

Hate to break it to you. Springer and Chandler won't be Playing together.

I work with a guy that is like that. He’s a nice guy and all but he really gets on my nerves. He’s all Alabama and Kentucky and up until 2 years ago was a patriots fan but now claims he’s the biggest chiefs fan around. It’s so hard not to call him out on his BS! I Purposely said something about Christian Okoye and it was obvious he had no idea who I was talking about. I wanted to punch him in his face but he is nice and all.

Problem is that our "go to" guy is yet to reveal himself. Personally, I don't see either Pons or Fulkerson as that guy. I think our go to players are our talented freshmen. Talented tho they may be, they are still freshmen. They will need time to grow into that role plus they're going to hit that freshman wall at some point. Long winded way of saying it's going to be a roller coaster of a season. I don't think we will win either SEC crown. A sweet 16 appearance would be a nice surprise.

Spot on. If JJJ will turn it on as he has for a few minutes in each game, I think he can be the go to. Bailey can hit the big time as well. Just too young right now. Pons/Fulky not dominant enough to offset the inconsistency.

Also 2018 team had 2 seniors, 4 juniors, 1 RS so, 1 so

5 guys averaged double digit PPG & 6 averaged 20+ minutes. That team was seasoned & had their identity well established.

This team is probably a year away from being on the same level from a performance standpoint, but has the talent to potentially be better. But I’m not sure if it’ll happen this year and who knows who returns next season.

While I think we have issues, saying we're definitely not a Final Four team is silly.

Remember our Elite 8 team who yes beat #1 Kansas but also lost by 22 at USC (Southern Cal) who went 16-14, got swept by Vandy (with the loss at Vandy by 19) and lost by almost 30 to UK in the SECT.

Lol I don't even consider them real fans. I have no respect for them except for the one or two I've met that actually had an argument because they got their undergrad at Alabama and got their masters at UK. And even they both still really considered themselves Alabama fans first and did root for Alabama against UK in basketball.

Also I legit remember a guy around 1992 who had an Alabama, UK, Cowboys, Bulls, and Braves logo on his pickup. I was like "What luck, you just happen to root for all winners!"

This team might end up being ok but their flaws got exposed tonight. Its up to Barnes and Co. to fix them.

We cannot keep losing bad to Bama and Fla and say we were the better team. If we were better, then we wouldn't have lost by 26 to them. There are some weaknesses that are getting exploited. We all admit to needing a true PG and a true dominating big man at C. We don't even have 2 dominating big long reach Fs. Springer was out and that hurt some but still. I'm not at all down on the team, but we need to stop over-hyping these guys. They don't match the strength and leadership of that Grant/Schofield/Bone team of 2 years ago.

We will lose more games, but we will have a good year.
