That’s the points though, every game Bailey hasn’t started we’ve played sluggish & his game has suffered.

IMO I think that has more to do with us just transitioning to the tougher part of our schedule. I think the ideal starting lineup is Jaden, Santi, JJJ, Pons, Fulk

Well, very good basketball teams lose to mediocre teams all of the time. That’s what happens when you play 30+ games. It’s the entire body of work.

I’m not a fan of Mike White. Sure, they played well tonight and won. I don’t expect them to be better overall than us at the end of the year.,

In typical Tennessee fashion, our #6 ranked basketball team went out and got absolutely abused by an unranked Florida team.

I have never seen a Barnes UT team play so poorly on defense. And Florida had several key players out.

Is it possible the chaos and toxicity of the football program can infect the only positive thing Vols fans have at the moment?

This is why you can never get excited about the ncaa tournament. A game like this can happen in any round and you're done. It's scary that this team is capable of a 26 point loss to a depleted unranked team.

I'll quote John Calipari here..."I would rather lose a half dozen in January and win them all in March."

The test here is how does this team respond. The last highly ranked UT team responded well after a loss...stay tuned.

All great teams lose. I recall the Lakers losing to the Celtics by 30 plus on a seven game finals series. Yes that is the NBA but most teams have a bad loss now and then.
Gonzaga is the one exception thus far as those guys can play, but they may eventually have an off night.

I am concerned though about our foul shooting and rebounding. I think more teams will keep Pons away from the rim and/or try getting him into foul trouble. I said a few games ago our shooting concerns me but I’m not in panic mode but don’t think final 4 bound

We have an above average bb team. The preseason hype and the delusions of grandeur about going to a final four or beating Gonzaga are vastly overated

Seems weird to make such definitive statements about a team you've hardly watched but thats your prerogative I guess. No use discussing it with you if you dont watch and hence don't have any idea about the team you're trashing

I watch recaps of almost every game. It's all the time I care to spend. The team is going to get whiplash from all that quick movement up and down the polls.

I also admit some of my preemptive frustration about this team is run off from football. It's probably not fair or logical but I can't help it.

Again you say you avoid watching garbage rot after the basketball team loses 2 games, but you still pay attention to a football team that has basically sucked for 15 years, hasn't been nationally relevant in 20 years, hasn't won the SEC in 22 years, and based on the current situation it will likley be at least 30 years between SEC Championships if not more.
