Really thought Dubar would get more playing time after the last game plus the injuries/short bench. Long season. Have to think we are gonna need Dubar again at some point. Sure wish we still had Carr....and some others who chose to leave.

He played 11 minutes and was 0-2 shooting with just 1 rebound and 1 assist... I think the lineup (as often the case) was changed to play the hot hands.

Biggest difference is that Cade & Igor were both far more active and effective than Dubar and played more minutes because of it.

Cade was 5 of 6 for 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in his 14 minutes
Igor was 3 of 7 for 9 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, & 3 steals and played 32 minutes

Because this level of competition is still classified as being "inter-collegiate" athletics, with minimum academic requirements for eligibility still being enforced. NIL has not changed EVERYTHING.

Therefore, it's reasonable to have eligibility restrictions, based upon a reasonable amount of time needed to complete an education (which could be extended to include graduate studies).

Are there still academic progress requirements reported by the schools?

Georgia had Dubar covered up like white on rice. They know what he’s done in a few games with the right opportunities. He just never even had a chance to get into the flow.

I am guessing it is, but for the athletes unless they just want to coach 4th grade basketball, they have to get that degree. Can't get a respectable school coaching job without the degree.

Yes, and the team had their highest collective GPA in history this past semester. An impressive 3.50

Was disappointed Dubar didn't show up. It's one good game for him and 2-3 disappearing acts. I don't understand that from a player. Got to be mental.

Dubar missed a lot of time early, when schemes are being set for the season, so it's not as much him "disappearing" as it is finding his place in the system. It's still early, and he's got the right attitude. He'll be fine.

And as stated, with Cade and Igor being as effective as they were, his opportunities were more limited last night.

11 minutes. Me and 2 other guys around me are a part of the DStone fan club. We keep tabs on him. He’s a dog when he gets ample opportunity. Just didn’t get enough minutes last night.

Dillone, maybe... He's shooting 44.4% FG and 28.8% 3PT for 10.1 ppg with Penn State.

Carr made his decision even with seeing how thin we are this year...

Lots of people fail to understand basketball scoring isn’t linear. The line was double digits for a reason. Even if the 1st half was rough
