The Official #7 Tennessee @ Ole Miss Game Thread, 5:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Game - 63-59 TN.

Vescovi missed both foul shots @ the end. I just don’t see how you miss foul shots.

This team isn’t a top 10 team imo, however, the tournament is payed in March, not December. I just hope the offense is fixable as it’s painful to watch.
Let’s see 11-2. Won the B4A tourney and have beat the #4 team in the country (Kansas) by 14.

Where would you rank TN and who would you elevate above them that is currently ranked lower ?

Santi was the only guy to hit a 3, we could really use JJJ back to help from deep.

ZZ & Key also being cold from deep is slowing down the offense.

Over reaction crowd: 8 minutes into the game “ball game, Tennessee can’t come back from this.” “Aidoo & Vescovi are garbage.”

Critiquing is one thing…….making dumb knee jerk reactions every single time Tennessee gets down in ANY game…….is something different.

Good win Vols!!

Reading this thread from start to finish makes me think:
a. Too early a game for regular bball posters
b. Lots of bipolar people here today
c. Trollville, not Fanville comments
d. We forget it ain't over till it's over

Answer: e. All the above
I agree with you 100%. Especially the Aidoo posts.

Terrible take, SEC road games are never easy. Look at Kentucky down 11 right now.

They literally played no one in the non-conference except for Kansas and Illinois. They lost to Kansas at home by 30 and they just beat Illinois. I say if they beat Kentucky they will make a sizable jump into the Top 20.

It’s hard to tell if Missouri is really good or Kentucky is that bad.

The one caveat is saying how great the player is when he actually does have a great game. That is acceptable, trust me. ;)

Ole Miss is 52nd in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency and 108th in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency. There is still a lot of time left in this game, but it is upsetting how we are playing against the definition of a mediocre opponent.
52nd out of 350ish isn’t mediocre. Their defense will give a bunch of SEC teams fits and below their normal numbers.

And you never missed free throws? I think Jordan only hit 83% … they aren’t automatic

Question was asked and I answered. I also didn’t play as many games as college nor pro.

70% isn’t a good % and I think that is what TN shot from the foul line tonight. Their overall field goal % was better, around, 42%, while three ball was poor.

Foul shots aren’t they difficult to make. Most of it is mental towards the end of the game as fatigue and pressure if the game “kick in.”

Edit- Jordan shot 83% from foul line.

70% as a team isn’t terrible in college.
