You may be correct. That’s something I should probably research as the game has changed since I last played in the late 80’s. It just seems TN misses late in games. But again, they got the win!

It seems like Aidoo is just scratching the surface of his potential IMO. He seems to do a head scratcher for every good thing he does. When he settles in and eliminates the head scratchers he can become all conference level!

2nd half defense was off the charts. We simply played our guts out and Rebels worked hard for every shot. If we played defense like we did in the 2nd half …and rebound too… we will be a tough out every single game. I’m so impressed with the 2nd half D!

He was totally lost out there in the first half. Then our 2nd best player that second half.

We started playing D with about 9 minutes left in the first half.

We play so hard on defense the FT % is going to suffer.

Santi was 43% from FT, which was atrocious. That’s a fair point for this game. He shot the same % from 3 & scored 22 though and we won. So don’t care honestly, he’s normally a 80% guy from the line.

Mashack & ON being both under 70% is a bigger concern. Mashack is shooting under 60% from there.

I’m not sure we can match scoring with Mizzou. It’s not like they take good shots so not sure how our tough defense will translate?

How come we are always deficient of pure outside shooters? I don’t get it. When was the last time we had 2 guys who could hit 3’s at 40%? Heck 37%!? I know Santi is but what’s wrong with Key? We need him and Phillips to step up in a big way offensively

Missouri has to come to Knoxville and play against the best defense they will see all season. They aren’t going to score 88 against us like their average. But, we’ll still have to score the basketball to win. I don’t think Missouri will really understand just how good our defense is. They won’t play one even remotely as good before they come to Knoxville.

EDIT: Arkansas has a pretty good defense. Forgot about them. My point still stands though.

Pretty sure we were top 40 in offense last year. Not 100% sure but it seem like it

Foul shots aren’t they difficult to make. Most of it is mental towards the end of the game as fatigue and pressure if the game “kick in.”
Where were you when Shaq played?

Because there aren’t 8 teams that are clearly better. My guess is we end up a 3 but there’s just not many great teams, if any. The jury is out in a few.
