This. I feel like last year and early this year when we had these type of games we just kept jacking threes. Now with Phillips and Mashack and even Vescovi a little bit they are willing to take it to the rim and move the ball and it’s much better basketball. Love the improvements in that area

Yep refs have been inconsistent. The players don’t know what’s coming next whistle wise both teams.

Think we realized early on that with these rims and this ball perimeter shots were likely not to hit today. Maryland is having to settle for the 3, we are getting to the rim and not taking 3s. That is the difference in the game.

It’s literally the ball. Maryland usually would hit like 3 more of these 3s and all of their layups. This ball plus an elite defense means lucky to score 30
